Pale copper. Two fingers of head dissipating to about half a centimetre. Smell is fruity - grapefruit, melon, tropical fruit. I can also pick up the sweetness of the pale malts.

I don't usually like pale ales, but I'm enjoying this one. It's on the hoppier side - like their IPA turned down a few notches. Body on the lighter side.

Pint served on tap at the Bier Markt in Toronto. Served cold into a Red Racer pint glass.

Appearance - Bright orange and amber color, clear with plenty of lively bubbles. Topped by about two fingers of dense frothy white head with great retention and sheets of lacing around the side of the glass.

Smell - Grapefruit, Pine and other citrus dominate, not nearly to the effect of their IPA, but nevertheless a substantially citrus based aromatic pale ale.

Taste - Pretty much like the nose; citrusy with grapefruit and some orange shining through more than others. Some pine mixed in for good measure and a faint sweet caramel base to keep everything balanced.

Mouthfeel - Lively carbonation, keeps the tastebuds prickling. Smooth feel and fairly light body give the intensity of the beer.

Overall - A great pale ale enhanced by the fact it was on tap. Very refreshing and enjoyable. Definitely worth a try.

16oz draft pour at bier markt mississauga

a: slightly hazy amber-copper. one and a half fingers of off-white head that leaves ridiculous lacing

s: peach, grapefruit, pine, malt. great aroma

t: peachy pine up front, then some grapefruit notes. leads into a really nice caramel malt backbone. simple but incredibly flavourful

m: medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation

o: an excellent pale ale. showcases vibrant hop flavours while also being really balanced

Appearance - Pours a clear copper/amber with two fingers of foamy white head.

Smell - citrus hops, caramalts, tropical fruits, hint of grapefruit rind.

Taste - Nice hit from the citrus hops followed by the tropical fruits and caramalts. Finishes with a pleasant bitterness and the hint of grapefruit rind.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Overall - A spot on APA from Central City with a great citrus hop profile and a supporting caramalt backbone. This is definitely a winner amongst hopheads like myself.
