Infused with raspberries from the Fraser Valley, this wheat ale is crisp and clean with a subtle fruitiness. The toasted crystal malt from England balances the natural acidity of the raspberries producing a beer that is refreshing and a delightful taste experience.

20oz pint at the Underground during their eventual (thanks again, AGLC!) Central City tap takeover.

This beer appears a faintly hazy medium bronzed amber hue, with one finger of moderately foamy, weakly bubbly pale beige head, which leaves little beyond a low berm of fizzy off-white lace around the glass as things quickly drop away.

It smells of raspberry pie filling - the sassy black fruit and a hint of cream - grainy, lightly bready caramel malt, and tame earthy, leafy noble hops. The taste is still raspberry-forward, but now with a more vegetal side of the fruit strutting its stuff, among a biscuity, softly toasted caramelized malt, and more earthy, somewhat weedy hops.

The bubbles are pretty low-key, just a dull hum throughout, the body more light than medium weight, and a bit hollow in its quotidian smoothness. It finishes well off-dry, the muddled raspberry fruitiness lingering amid a faded bready pale malt sweetness.

A decently refreshing, and veritably quaffable fruit beer, the headliner running through various guises as things progressed. Maybe not a world beater, but worth a shot for those who maybe aren't all that beholden to their sweet tooth.

On tap at the Central City brew pub.

A: 1.8" white head over reddish amber liquid.

S: Smells strongly of raspberries with a hint of yeast.

T: The taste begins with raspberries, transitions to yeast, which finishes with the taste of wheat.

M: Thin viscosity with a low level of carbonation.

O: A drinkable and sweet Wheat Ale, this beer would benefit most from a better mouthfeel.
