Straw filtered with moderate carbonation and 6 fingers of white head.

Smells of straw, hay, hints of malt, and children's aspirin.

The taste follows the nose, then adds a tropical fruit and pine quality the ups the anti and makes it West Coast.

Medium body, and medium carbonation.

Got at LCBO, drinking in Muskoka, March 7th, 2018. Excellent Pils.

Really good smooth pilsner with character. Looking forward to getting this more often, brewed 20 mins from me. Little hoppy too.

Can - pour a protein-hazed pale straw color with an ample 2 finger rocky white cap which laces well, Aroma is floral-spice over biscuity Pils malts. Bright sharp character with a good hop bite. Starts biscuity with grassy-spice hop balance then goes to a clean crisp increasingly bitter finish with a hop bite at the end. Very serviceable domestic craft Pilsener refreshing and sessionable

Very bright dark straw color, almost gold, with light pearly activity. Thin foamy bubbly white 3 finger head, lasting around 5-10 minutes, with poor legs. Flavors of light caramel and corn, lemon, lager yeast, sweet grains and herbal hops. Slick full body with prickly carbonation, a little crispy. Light to medium strength finish, grains and cereal, quality corn feel thats not too "wet", a bit citrusy with dominant barley and a hint of straw. American interpretation, more leafy than floral, makes it slightly less complex compared to euro versions but more intense flavors. So the intensity is nice. Still highly accessible and quite fresh. Good balance with the sugars and bitterness. Overall high quality craft.

Serving Type: 473 mL "Pils for Autism" Can poured into a Pint glass

L- Pours a nice deep golden colour, topped by a 1 1/2 finger foamy white head. A fair amount of sticky lacing. Good head retention

S- Grain, apple, slightly "dank" scent typical of Saaz hops.

T- Same as the smell. All flavours typical of a well made Czech Pils.

F- Light body and moderate carbonation; exactly what I look for in a quality Pilsner.

O- A solid Pilsner that could go head to head with any of the big Czech Made brews. Clean and crisp feel and flavours/aromas.

A: Transparent pale yellow and a frothy white head.

S: Smells like a lager! (As far as I know) Some hints of apple and grainy maltiness.

T: Not at all bold, it's close to being watery. It's clean and slightly crisp. Nearly no bitterness but not sweet either and has a light aftertaste. The flavour is very similar to the smell, a bit of apple and a slightly toasty grainy maltiness, not very deep or complex.

F: Medium carbonation. Smooth but not too thin or light. Leaves a bit of a coating in your mouth.

O: Extremely drinkable pilsner. very sessionable. The flavour is nowhere near as bold or complex as their IPA so don't buy it for that. Quite refreshing without being water.

From a 473ml can served at 8 Celsius into a shaker pint.

Appearance: The look is sadly one of the highlights of this beer. It pours a clear straw to pale gold with 1cm of foamy, white head that settles into a cap in less than two minutes. No lacing in a beer-clean glass.

Aroma: The faintest of pale malts (honey) and grassy hops. I poured some of the beer into a Glencairn glass to get a sense for the smell.

Taste: Characterless and watery... faint pale malts. I wish had more to say.

Mouthfeel: Light body with moderate carbonation. The prickly sensation is the best part of this brew. I like them prickles.

Overall: In a word, characterless. I would rather spend my money on sparkling water to quench my thirst. The few points this beer deserves come from the fact that it has no off-flavours. It's clean and that counts for something. The most satisfying part is the mouthfeel. Crushable? Sure, but that's not why I drink beer.

473 ml can served fairly cold into a pint glass. Purchased for about $2.80 CDN.

Appearance - bright golden color, brilliant clarity and a finger and a half of egg shell white coloured head. Plenty of lacing and some visible carbonation.

Smell - lightly grainy and subtle suggestion of hops. Clean with a slightly metallic aroma.

Taste - like the nose, grainy and only a faint suggestion of hops. Probably cold have been colder to bring out the refreshing flavors of the beer a little more. A little more sweetness than I'd expect.

Mouthfeel - soft carbonation, lacking the spritzy and sometimes near explosive carbonation I come to expect. Body is light and finish is reasonably dry.

Overall - I don't, there's nothing wrong with this beer, it just didn't grab,e even the way some of the better European pilsners too. Maybe the temperature should have been a couple of degrees colder, but the sweetness got me thinking of this as more of a Munich helles lager as opposed to a true European Pilsner. Small difference, just one of those where the expectation was different than what the beer actually was. Might try again but might not as well.

Clear and pristine gold under a moderate head that quickly dissipates, no lace. Gently grassy nose, subdued hops to taste. Slightly bitter to finish. Clean mouthfeel. Overall a clean and simple brew. Competent, no off notes, easy to drink. Understated flavourwise to my mind. Decent, but not in the same league as some of Red Riders other offerings.

473 mL tallboy from the LCBO; now abbreviated as 'Red Racer Pils.' Dated Feb 16 2017 and served well-chilled. Reviewed on my phone.

Pours a crystal clear golden-yellow colour, producing an inch of foamy white foam which recedes within 60 seconds. It fades to little more than a soapy cap and anemic collar, but at least shows the courtesy of depositing a spidery curtain of lacing before it departs. Uneventful aroma; clean, grainy pale malts, honey biscuit and some grassy, leafy hops.

A respectable pils with a clean, straightforward flavour. There's lots more grainy, pale barley malt sweetness to be enjoyed, with hints of biscuit and apple skin leading into a noble-hopped finale. Grassy hay, with floral notes and some earthy, spicy qualities; quite agreeable, and it's all wrapped up with a leafy green finish and an off-dry aftertaste. Light in body, and properly carbonated to provide a mild, refreshing crispness. Extraordinarily sessionable.

Final Grade: 3.74, a B grade. Red Racer Pils is on par with most of the better imported Euro pilseners. A quality lager worthy of occupying any pils fan's glass.
