The reason I go to Woodman's in WI is to find Wisconsin beer. So this one did not let me down in that regard. They had two different New Glarus Unplugged beers along with a large selection of other NG beers, three different Brewer's Gone Wild beer along with more from Tyranena. Their selection of other big Wisconsin breweries was just as deep. Where they were lacking was in beer from outside Wisconsin. That is fine by me but if this was my local beer store it might get a bit boring after a few months.
They had no singles except for a few large bottles of some German beers and no bombers at all even of common craft beers. They did have NG Belgian Red and Cherry by the counter so I guess those count as bombers but that was it. They had some of the popular season bells so that was nice and there was still a good selection of beer after I left the store.
The only employee was the guy running the cash registrar and he never left his post. But there was a nice big poster by the beer that had all the New Glarus beers and which months they are released this year. That was more helpful that many beer clerks I run into in woodman's. I of course had to pay for the beer drop it off at the car and then go back for cheese curd but it was worth the trip.

About average in terms of Woodman's. Always my favorite chain to shop at when on vacation up this way.

Mix a six was lacking quite a bit, but had stuff the other Woodmans' didn't. Also carried a wider variety of 3 Floyds - namely Space Station Middle Finger and Gumballhead, two beers I couldn't seem to find anywhere else. No ZD though. I also claimed a Half Acre Lead Feather which was cool.

No quantity discounts here. Sadly. I would have bought more product if it had been that way.

All in all a nice selection for a small town, but there's much better selection within the next 20 miles or so (Janesville, Rockford)

Vibe was alright - small liquor store feel located in, but separate from, a Woodmans. Quality was solid and prices were outstanding. Service was fine, although no one ever came to see if I needed help finding something (I did) or offer suggestions. Selection was expansive, but straightforward. Nothing rare or hard to find. Most importantly, they had everything you'd want from New Glarus so if thats what you are looking for - this is a great stop just over the IL/WI border.

Only place in town I was able to find a few Unplugged, namely Cranbic, Berliner Weisse, and Imperial Saison. Typical WI micros from CW, Ale Asylum, Capital, also Bells Hopslam for $14.49!

Service was limited to the cashier, but he grabbed a box for us and modified it to fit our beer haul.

Most of the beer was in the coolers, minus the display of Hopslam and New Glarus under a herd of floating inflatable cows with the NG logo on them. The usual huge sea of macros in the case section with Old Milwaukee Special Reserve and other such weak sauce.

Overall worth a stop, as they had some exclusive Unplugged beers here and a decent amount of seasonals.
