I only recently realized that this place is 3 minutes from my work.I've made one trip there and overall I found the place to be fairly adequate in filling my needs. The selection is decent.Founders,Avery,Bells,Ska,Odells,Boulevard and Lagunitas are available along with a good selection of Belgian,English and German offerings.St.Bernardus 12,Orval and Cantillon being some of the import highlights for me.The mixer-sixer selection was a little weak but definitely affordable.I grabbed three Ska Modus cans,an Avery India Pale Ale,a Lagunitas Pale Ale and an Odells 90 Shilling for just under $10.I wasn't approached by any store personnel(which I honestly prefer)but I did talk to someone on the phone that was nice enough.Overall,an easy shot down Olive for me and definitely a place I'll go back to.

Was surfing beer sites online and discovered a post saying this place would have the new Boulevard BBQ. Sent them an email asking about it. Robin, the beer manager, got back with me pretty quickly and said it would be no problem to hold a couple bottles back till I could get down there. After a 130 mile ride I was not disappointed at all. My two bottles were on hold and there was a great huge selection of fine beers.

There's a nice coffee shop with internet there as well, so I grabbed a coffee and muffin and sat down to surf. In fact I wound up walking around the store with my mini-computer, checking out the ratings for the various beers they had. Nobody seemed to mind at all, in fact I met a couple beer advocates while I was in the store.

One of the staff offered me an infinium, which was nice because it wasn't on the shelf. I wound up giving it to a couple who seemed to want it worse than I did, lol. Overall the staff was very nice and I liked the service.

There's a good selection of wines too, if that's your thing. No shortage of cheese and gourmet foods either.

The beer selection was quite good, with a variety of quality craft beers from the USA and abroad. Prices seemed fairly reasonable, and some things were even cheaper than I can usually find them.

It was very easy to find, just off 270 on olive street. I was back on the highway in minutes.

I'd recommend the store for sure. Nice place.

Ordered from this place online. Interesting little selection with some fairly unique stuff. Boulevard Imperial Stout was the main reason I ordered from here. Bought 3 of these and filled the rest of the 6 bottle box with a couple imports from Denmark, Amager Brygus Batch One, Hr. Frederikson and a Left Hand Smoke Jumper. All of which I would have a difficult time finding or never find in Charlotte NC. Can't speak to much to the service, but everything shipped and arrived in a timely fashion. Sounds like this is a bit of a chain, maybe similar to Total Wine in NC, but hey, good stuff can be found at the semi-box stores also!

Provisions is centrally located withing the St Louis metro area, just east of I-270 on Olive Blvd.

I have been going there for years, and I must say within the last year or so their beer section has been kicked up quite a bit. They have quite a bit of Bell's, Rogue, Schlafly, and other micros. They also carry a nice selection of Belgian ales - some that are harder to find. They usually get some seasonals in with the occaisional one time brew release also (picked up a Bell's batch release here).

I don't think their beer person is there a lot, but the store manager is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful (His specialty is wine but he knows beer also). I usually see him with all of my questions and he's always right on the mark. As far as cost - ANY alcohol in this store is priced at least average, but most of the time it's cheaper than any other store I go to. The beer is usually priced at or below lowest cost I have found, and I do a lot of comparison shopping.

The overall beer selection is not huge, but this is a fairly small store. Not the selection of Lucas Liquor in Ellisville, but there are not many stores have that large of selection either. I wish they were open on Sunday for at least part of the day, but apparently they don't get too much business then.

I would recommend this store to anyone, and I feel this is a great "go to store" if you're in the central St Louis metro area.

This place has a stellar beer selection. In the last month, they have added numerous new beers. I wish I would have found this place years ago. I think their motivation for a great beer selection is recent. They have some beers refrigerated but most are at room temperature. The staff has been great. Especially a young lady who's name I can't remember. She is very enthusiastic and knowledgable. She has traveled abroad to different breweries and has tasted a lot of beers. They seem willing to sell singles and breakup packs to accomadate. I hope they keep up the good work. I will update my review periodically.
