Small, off-white head.

Slightly "woody" smell; no dominant notes.

Medium mahogany body; moderate bubbles.

Reasonably balanced, with a bit of toffee in the aftertaste.

Overall, a good, substantial ale - less sweet then many Scottish ales, but certainly one of distinctive character.

I'm VERY glad I brought home a growler of this - as were a couple of my friends!

Served off the cask after a year of conditioning at Alehouse #2 in a snifter.
Cloudy orange with no head but lots of residue on the sides.
Oak tone with slight caricatures of plum and maybe dates.
Sweet malt, toasty caramel and toffee. Great tasting smooth fruity finish, this is fantastic! Not too sweet and definitely great beer flavor. Thick and chewy with a sliken finish. I would love to have a little more sometime.

Murky opaque dirty water scooped from a lake. Copper scarlet actually. The small white head is gone in less than a minute and a ring remains.

Great aromas rise from the glass enticing the ole factory gland with sweet malt, honey, plums, berry fruits, and a hint of marmalade. Very good nose.

Silky smooth but lacking depth and backbone. I think this could have benefited from a little more hop induction. Malt is very sweet and smooth but slightly cloying. Hints of honey, berry, fig, and plum.

Too sweet for me to drink in abundance.

This may be my favorite local beer. Served in a wine-style glass (snifter) for obvious reasons (impressions of fermented fruit). Chestnut color and fruity finish is hands-down the most unique beer I have had from a local brewer.
