This is a full amber with a head that sticks to the glass. At first, I thought there was something odd in the aroma. The longer I drank the beer the more I realized that it was just the American grapefruit hops this beer is laced with. Im not used to that hop profile in a lager and often American hops clash with the lager flavors, but this worked. This is an interesting lager thats hopped like an average APA.

Nice orange color with a 1" head. Some light lacing develops. The aroma is light, as some malt was the only tone I could pick up. The flavor is pleasant, as the malt, soft citrus, and mild bitterness were nicely balanced. There was a slight graininess to this but it worked for me.
Mouthfeel was smooth with a brief crispness, and finished with a stronger bitter tone that lasted on the tongue. Nicely drinkable.

Dark amber albeait clear pint pour under scant coating.
Red grapes in the aroma department.
Creamy oily nutmeg malts hit first with grassy hops hidden, yet detectable. Estery and some cabbage leaf meets maple syrup notes. That sounds worse than it is. Crips oily, buttery feel but cloying flat root beer essence, and not in a bad way.
Becomes a bit too tangy to ba a session.
LAst swigs: MAple syrup and a bit cloying aftertaste. A welcomed example. Excellent compliment to the spicy fries at Grace Tavern in Philly for $4. Not sure that the style could be improved much more than this.
Beer is good. Happy beering.
Last swigs: Sweeter than Anchor's preeminant version.

On tap at Grace in Philly.
Medium orangey-golden with not too much white head, just a dusting in the center with a scant ring at the edge. Scents of a sour and some bitterness...bit of maple syrup and hoppiness also coming out from the pint. Right amount of carbination, nice, feels smooth. You see the carbination rising through the glass, yet it does not make it's presence known in the mouthfeel too much, which I like alot. Good hoppiness to it, with a bit of sweet honey in there. Good flavors that are balanced nicely, easy drinker and could be a great session especially for hop lovers.
