Brought a bomber of this back with me on my Labor Day trip to the Oregon Coast. Drank out of my Laughing Dog pint glass.

Appearance- Pours a super dark black breaking to a dark brown around the edges. Forms a dirty white one finger head that leaves a spotty head and thin collar. Some random lacing is left.
Smell- Nice lingering chocolate notes take the lead on this brew. Lots of dark roasted malts contribute a bit of an espresso and nutty nose. Not anything out of the ordinary but very solid.
Taste- Starts with a nice roasted sweetness with hints of dark baker’s chocolate. There is a slight lingering vanilla taste as well. A bit of a citrus and dark fruits are also present in the finish. Pretty solid brew.
Mouthfeel- Fairly thin with not a lot of body but very zesty carbonation, surprising for a stout.
Drinkability- A very solid beer. Not the greatest stout I’ve ever had but this wasn’t bad. Very easy to drink and pretty inoffensive in every way. This would be a nice beer to give a first time stout drinker.
