It is a bit of a drive from the Fairlawn shopping complex, but definitely worth it. They moved to another building that is slightly north of the old location. I imagine it was to get extra space, but I cannot be sure, because I never went to the old location.

In the far back is where you will find the six packs, all refrigerated. I have a feeling that the owner likes Colorado, because Boulder, Breckenridge, Great Divide, and Left Hand are all well represented. There is also a lot of Bells, Troegs, Clipper City, Hoppin Frog, Great Lakes, Thirsty Dog, Dogfish Head, Brooklyn(the bottle conditioned bombers), Chimay, Goose Island, Sierra Nevada, and I even saw a Cantillon 750 there, which I have not seen anywhere else. The seasonals seem to be kept up to date as well, because Nugget Nectar and Hopslam were both well stocked. In front of the 6 pack coolers are a couple of shelves, which have bombers, and a few unrefrigerated six packs. An excellent selection of Hoppin Frog, as I would have expected. I picked up a bomber of Victory Helios for $4.50!

In the front of the store on the left hand wall if you are facing the front is a long cooler which houses the singles. These singles are priced exceptionally. I think the owner just splits the price down exactly how it should be with a very slight mark up, because most of the singles were in the 1.60-1.80 range. Pretty much everything in the 6 pack fridge is available for singles purchase. Most of the dates I checked were good to go, except I did find a Heavy Seas Pale Ale past it's freshness date. There are also a lot of chilled bombers in that fridge(I saw a 2 brothers Hop Juice in there, never seen 2 brothers anywhere else).

Overall, this is definitely a place I would visit again to pick up some beers I have not seen in other beer stores. I will be going back in the future to pick up the Heavy Seas beers in singles for sure. They also have a lot of wine and liquor through the rest of the store if you need any of that(the liquor can only be purchased with cash though). I didn't ask, but I am sure they can do special orders. They definitely restocked since I last walked in there to scope out the selection, and I was very impressed this time around with the selection. I picked up a single of every Great Divide I could have, and also got a Breckenridge Batch 471 DIPA, and a Great Lakes Conway's Irish ale. I will be going back.

If you are in the Akron / Media area I suggest you check this place out if you are a craft brew enthusiast! This place has a great selection of beers, wines, and liquors. I go for the beer :) The service is unlike any other. If you want to talk beer, they are ready to listen and participate. This place gets a weekly visit from myself. Cheers!

Always has fresh Fat Heads Head Hunter. You can find plenty of Stone, Flying Dog, Hoppin Frog, and Lagunitas. Not a surprise to find The Brew Kettle White Rajah or any other rare, limited brews!

Corkscrew Johnny's is a great local beer and wine shop. More floor space is reserved for liquor and wine, but there is a full back wall with 5 or 6 cooler doors of 6 packs. Additionally, there are a few other cooler doors of single bottles to assemble your own six packs.

CJ's has a great selection of domestic craft beers, obviously all the Great Lakes Brewery offerings, they seem to regularly stock the Great Divide, Rogue, Boulder Brewing, Bells, Stone, plus plenty of imports including the popular Duvel. Prices seem reasonable and comparable to mega-chain Acme around the corner.

The staff is friendly and knowledgable, I have not requested any special orders yet, so I can't say if they do that or not, but I get the feeling they would be open to it. This is the kind of place I am happy to give my money to.

This place moved just down the road (further north and opposite side of the street) from its old location.

They have a great selection of Micro's - pretty much anything you can find in Ohio. They also have a couple doors of 6ers. Wish they had a few more 6ers to choose from, but still the selection is nice.

The owner is very friendly, loves to talk beer, and I'm sure would take special orders if he can get his hand on the product you are looking for.

If you are in the area - this place is worth stopping at and checking out.

This beer store is located north of Fairlawn on Cleve-Mass Rd near I-77/I/271. It's in a small strip mall on a 2-lane highway and parking is plentiful.

The bulk of the store is devoted to wine, as the name implies. However the back section of the store is all beer, most of it in coolers but some in cases on the floor. The presentation isn't spectacular but so what.

The beer selection is pretty impressive. GLBC, Buckeye, Bell's, Southern Tier, Stone, Alesmith and others are represented. There is a decent presence of imports from Italy to Israel to Belgium especially. One belgian - Urthel Hop-It - I have never even seen before.

The service here is good. I am always a little leery about buying beer in a wine store because some clerks tend to look down their nose at you but not here. As I came up to the counter the clerk was conversing about some beer with a gentleman who was buying only a bottle of Scotch. Clearly they care about beer at this place.

Overall this is a good spot to hit in the No Man's Land between Akron and Cleveland. Also it's not too far from Fairlawn and more great beer choices at Acme and Mustard Seed Market. This place is definitely worth seeking out.
