very malty, lots of caramel flavors, the hops are more resinous / piney but not exactly something I would say is a "big" hop presence. feel was normal.

Had this on 2017-03-27 in Columbia, PA from a 12oz canned on 2017-02-22

A - Fairly-clear, ruby-gold with a 1-finger white head and good lace. It's a lovely color. After pouring the last third of the can into my class, sediment clouded the remaining beer in my glass. The flavor wasn't impacted.

S - Biscuit, light caramel, earthy spice, stone fruit, light citrus. Pleasant but not real strong.

T - Lightly toasted bread, caramel, orange rind, pepper, earthy spice, pine. Finishes pleasantly bitter with balancing fruit and grain sweetness.

M - Medium-body and carbonation. Viscous, somewhat prickly and resinous. Very nice feel.

O - The flavors in this beer apparently appeal to me. I'd be glad to have this again as I like a complex malt bill to go along with not-too-dank hop flavors. Somewhat reminds me of a Victory Hop Devil. Nice.

on tap at Soho restaurant in Pittsburgh yesterday.

more hazy than cloudy deep yellow body. good white head, leaves decent lacing.

getting a little citrus on the aroma, but not a lot of anything.

tastes good enough, okay hop bite, can feel a good maltiness, but far from a malt bomb.

feel is a touch below medium, would have preferred a heavier mouth.

overall, and bearing in mind i had this after an excellent head hunter, this is an okay ipa, nothing spectacular, but would not hesitate to call it up again.
