From a bottle, pours dark brown to black, good carbonation and head retention.

The smell is all coffee grounds, a little caramel and roasted malt, dark chocolate. The flavor is more coffee, bitter chocolate. It taste a little like filtered coffee grounds, but balances well with the roast and smoke. Finish is a little thin, but this is still very enjoyable.

Would definitely drink this again.

A - Thick dark black 1.5 finger of tan color, thick lacing.
S - Nicely roasted coffee beans, light sweet malt, a little smoke.
T - Huge massive coffee flavor, nice earthy hop bite in the middle, a touch of smokey roasted malt and a little nuttiness on the end.
M - Creamy Texture, a little metallic after a while, but its faint.
O - Tons of great coffee flavor in this brew, one of the best Coffee Porters I've had

Served in a wedding snifter.

Oh, trust me, my eyes are wide open... Anyway, this stuff pours a straight onyx topped by a finger of sandstone-khaki foam. The nose comprises molasses, dark coffee, perfume, and a light bit of roasted malts. The taste brings in more of the same, with the coffee really coming through earthily and greenily. The body is a solid medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry-ish finish. Overall, a pretty nice coffee porter, nothing amazing but enjoyable enough for what it is.
