This classic copper-colored ale has a pronounced hop aroma and assertive bitterness. American grown Cascade hops are the star of this fragrant and citrusy dry-hopped masterpiece.

Way out of balance, all the hop bitter without the good hop flavor.

Good looking brew. A bit of a hazy light brown with a creamy head. Some grapefruit in the nose, but also some cardborad and apple. Predominantly grapefruit flavour punctuated with some apple and creamy yeastiness. Good soft, but solidly hefty body. No sense of wateriness. OK overall, but something seems amiss.

The waitress brought it out in a pint glass from the tap. The appearance was somewhat murky brownish amber with a thin head. The aroma was hoppy and reminded me of fresh cut hay. The taste was extremely dry and quite bitter. There were hints of roasty graininess, citric tartness, and some sourness. It was light and watery in its mouthfeel and did not taste like a beer suitable for an ocean voyage halfway around the world. My overall impression was that this was a fresh crisp beer that lacked much complexity and backbone to justify the moniker of an IPA; this was more like a west coast pale ale with some generous dry hopping.

An English-style IPA that is delicately hopped against a fine malt body, this beer is dark copper in body and topped with a nice off-white head with minimal lacing. The nose is light and gives malty notes with a small note of hops.
The flavor is a citrusy malt affair with only light bitterness. Definitely not a highly hopped grapefruit bitterness, but rather more subtle and mild. The feel is solid with a decenlty crisp finish and this leads to good drinkability.

There is a nice, lasting head. Copper body. It's a very soft beer on the palate. Slightly soapy and flowery aroma. It isn't aggressively hopped at all (despite their description as being aggressive.) High carbonation lends to the softness of the palate. A good beer, but not an IPA.
