Finally getting around to reviewing a malt liquor!

A: Pours with a tight head of 2 fingers. The beer is clear and a bright golden color. Lacing is low with a fair amount of head retention.

S: Aromas are of sweet, light malts, plus hay and some light, grassy hop notes. Overall not a lot of aroma, however.

T: Hmm, not too much in the way of taste -- some sweet, light grains is about it. No bitterness to speak of. It's not offensive, but its not flavorful either.

M: Thin body with a high carbonation content. Not really any aftertaste.

O: So this wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I've had some beers I couldn't finish, but this one wasn't horrible tasting and I could drink it. It just didn't have much taste to speak of.

ah, Olde English, what can i say about you? You're the 40 to drink if you have to drink a 40, i suppose. You look terrible and you stink real bad, but after the first little taste, all hoppy and smooth, i just can't stop until i've finished. Top of the line on malt liquors, in my opinion....and in some cases i'd rather drink this than light american lagers (coors, miller, genny).

A: Looks like corn colored corn syrup, dull white head on top. Actually has lacing.

S: Quite dirty and grainy. Not boozy, but unappealing with trace amounts of malt. Neutral to trashy smelling.

T: It's very mineral-y and has candied-rice cripy flavor to it. The slight sweetness is the only savior. Otherwise, this is very bland and can only sense adjunct flavoring.

M: Pretty thin, and almost feels a bit grainy, in a disturbing way.

O/D: Nothing more than a "gets the job done" beer, and even that, not worth it. A pretty poor malt liquor, as redundant as it sounds.
