Seriously, this is as good and full flavored as an American macro lager gets (the bar is low people). Well made pilsner and adjunct beer. Clean pour, crisp taste, sweet pilsner flavor. While still just "drinking beer" it's not too shabby. Much better than Bud and MGD.

Not sure what to say about this one. Yellow and fizzy, it's supposed to be a better version of an adjunct lager but I do not detect any qualities that would put it in that category. Just you run of the mill AAL.

Scored according to category.
Easily my favorite macro. Grew up with this stuff and there's always some in the garage fridge.
Very consistent, pours with a huge head that hangs around.
Not much here for the snobs, but for me, it's a comfortable trusted friend.
Good quality AAL at a price that can't be beat, and it doesn't claim to be anything more.

This beer pours a clear light gold color. The head is larger, and recedes slowly leaving good lacing. The aroma is faintly bready with an even fainter spicy hop note. The taste is similar. The mouthfeel is light bodied with lively carbonation. Overall, this is a decent AAL. There are other AAL's I would choose before High Life, but in a pinch it can be enjoyed.

Pale yellow with almost no head and lacing. A very faint smell of corn. Fizzy and watery mouth feel with a very slight hint of creaminess. there is a slight pleasant sweetness to this with a very minor hop background and dry finish. A little bit on the watery side. Not a bad AAL for a hot summer day. Nothing really offensive with this. Nothing outstanding either.

They call it "The Champagne of Beers." No idea why. Tastes like shampoo.

Looks clear light yellow. Pours a thick white head.

Smells a little grassy.

Tastes a little tart up front. A little hop/grass note in the middle, and when savored it has little a extra burn, something like lemon pepper, but very weak. Mildly sweet corn at the end with something extra, a little note that reminds me of a sour mash whisky.

Feels light and watery, but that's not necessarily bad. Chugs nicely

Overall, I think that this is one of the better American Adjunct Lagers, one of the more interesting ones from out of that group. It's also easy to pound. For what it is, I think it's a winner. And I base my scores based on comparison to other American Adjuncts.

A: Clear, straw yellow with small white and soapy head that surprisingly leaves a moderate amount of lacing down the glass.
S: Grainy and sweet, though not as much as normal Bud or Miller.
T: Sweet ricey and grainy flavor. But slightly more crackerish and maybe bitter than a normal Miller.
M: Light bodied and sessionable.
O: Maybe my new favorite American adjunct, but probably not. Good, but not the champagne of beers.
