Poured from a 32 oz. can into a dimpled beer mug. This is beer #8 in my hunt to find America's great adjunct lager/pils.

A-Yellow, straw, and hints of gold. It pours a thin white bubbly and sudsy head that leaves some sticky lace, believe it or not.

S-Corn, malt, clean water, and a slight grainy smell.

T-sweet corn and a grainy taste. There are hints of malt/biscuit in the aftertaste, mixed with some soda cracker crunch, too. It's not bad and not good.

M-Wet with a moderate/light body. It is a great thirst quencher when it's hot outside. Crisp and refreshing. I can drink a bunch and feel fine.

Overall, I have a couple more on my radar. This one rates up there with Bud and PBR. This brew is not great, it's not terrible. I can't say anything more about it. Decent, cheap, summer beer!
My hunt for the great American lager continues...

12 oz. bottle poured into pilsener

L: pale yellow, crystal clear, pushes up white head of foam about 1.5 inches tall and is super sticky; loads of activity in the glass leads to thick collar and skin ... skin's almost 1/4-inch thick and constant; laces a little on the way down, but the pour and stick off the head combined with the bubbles flying up the column are the show

S: medicinal mix of dirt, grain, sour grain; if you dig deep, you can find some light-malt fruity sweetness, apricot; the medicinality is not overly harsh but you can definitely smell the alcohol

T: sweet grain ... the amount of sweetness is surprising; light lemon, grass; cracker malt flavor mixing with corn tortilla chip

F: light and crisp but softened a bit as you drink through the thick skin

O: I originally reviewed this beer in early 2013 as I was getting back into beer, and back then this one didn't make a lot of sense to me ... all I could taste was the corn tortilla chip; three-plus years of trying new beers has led me back to trying more adjuncts, and now I can taste so much more than the grain; there's still plenty of corn/grain flavor, but the light bit of lemon and thin layer of cracker flavor is nice as is the level of sweetness that hits you right away; simple but good, and for the price, you can't beat it

A: Pours a pale yellow color with a half finger of quickly fizzling head

S: Quite bready, with a hint of adjuncts and sweetness. Not bad at all

T: Follows the nose. Malty and bready with a definite adjunct sweetness. Simple. Nothing off-putting or offensive

M: Light bodied with moderate-high carbonation

O: An enjoyable, sessionable, cheap AAL that has nothing wrong with it. It's not great, but it's not bad either. I could see myself drinking quite a few of these during a football game or sporting event

I thought this beer was fairly decent, but nothing that I would drink all of the time. It had a good taste and ok smell to it. On a hot summers day while cooking on the grill, i thought it really hit the spot, but most anything probably would. The mouthfeel of the beer was also average for a lager. This is the type of beer that my dad and grandpa would drink, but not really my favorite.

Lets all be honest here, there is nothing special about this beer. This is as average as a beer gets. This beer isnt great/ideal but its not a bad beer either. The flavor of this beer is very simple as well, nothing that makes it stand out with any particular flavor in my mind. The can can use work as well as it could be more attractive.
