From the clear 12 fl. oz. bottle dated Feb 15-2016. Sampled on December 13, 2015

Yellow-golden pour with great clarity and a quick lasting fizzy champagne-like head.

Aroma of apples, apples and apples with a buried malt sweetness. Kind of a wet cardboard thing too.

Thin body.

OK, the taste is a tad better than what the aroma suggests...that is if one likes apples. I happen to like apples so in that regard this beer did what it was supposed to do. Sweet but nothing I will go for again.

Purchased from one of the local quick marts.

A: Clear, slightly amber gold with a fizzy head that dissipates very quickly.

S: Apple. Unfortunately, It smells pretty artificial.

T: Apple cider but less tart. A wee bit medicinal. Not awful though.

M: Richer than expected with some crispness to it.

O: A little better than I expected but still not "good." It is refreshing though.

It's a cool idea. There are some great ciders out there, and everyone knows about cider. An apple beverage that's a beer seems like a good idea, and few breweries make one. looks like a macro from the start. It's a very pale, thin-looking brew. Granted, it looks a bit like a cider ought to look, but not like a beer ought to. The struggling little white head barely stays up for a minute or two, and very little spotty lacing is left behind.
The aroma is a bit cidery but as thin and as the appearance would make it seem and somewhat listless. I don't see too much difference between this and a cider until a whiff of corn husk comes through. Adjuncts don't make it better, and the same goes for the flavor. While the apple element presented is sharp, it loses the tartness in the flavor. there's a bit more tangy bite on the nose. Pale malts present themselves from middle to finish; again, thin.
Speaking of, the feel is that of a cider rather than a beer, and it's only the fact that this is an apple ale that the fact doesn't completely sink it.

I was interested to try this beer and wasn't surprised to discover it was Miller after I'd had it poured for me. For the masses into bland, weak and watery beers, this works if cider's too much.

Not recommended. Might pass if you were sitting around a camp fire and choosing berween this and nothing. I thought it might compare favorably with a cider. I was wrong

From a tallboy purchased at a gas station (was not going to risk a 12 pack of these) into a cold mug with ice. Color of apple juice with huge fizzy head that rapidly fades to nothing. Nose of sweet apple juice, but not overly sweet. Taste-wise, it’s basically carbonated apple juice. Not way-over-the-top-super-cloying cider, but just a nice alcoholic apple juice. Like maybe apple juice, a good vodka, and seltzer. This is by no means terrible but not anything to write home about either. I’m glad I just bought one.

Poured from the 16oz can into a large mug.

A: The beer is a thin, fizzy pale orange. Head disappears pretty quickly. On the front it advertises natural apple flavor and caramel color, so there is some fake aspect to it. Not great.

S: Not sweet like a cider should be, but not beery enough to balance it out. Seemed like a fizzy cheap white wine with some apples and a touch of malt.

T: Very appley up front and pretty sweet. Dry in the middle and somewhat cloying. Just a sweet cider basically but more like apple candy. Kind of apple juice with carbonation. Drinkable, despite what some other reviewers have said. Just more on the sweet side.

Overall: Not a great smelling or looking beer, but has an ok, if sweet taste. Obviously trying to capture some of the non beer drinking crowd. For that purpose, get a real cider instead of this one.

Appearance: Clear bottle. Looks like apple juice... not like a beer at all. Appears heavily carbonated.

Smell: Not bad... just smells like, again, apple juice.

Taste: Apple juice. Or cider. It tastes apple-like on the front and is sweet and maybe somewhat sour for a split second, and then it's just gone. Not like a beer at all, in my opinion. The feel is pretty highly carbonated.

Redd's is HIGHLY drinkable, but nothing about this reminds me of beer. It drinks like hard apple juice, which isn't a bad thing, but as a beer, it's awful. I prefer this to something like a Mike's (I find that to be way too sweet), so that's saying something.

This pours a pale amber color with only a momentary head as it basically looks like slightly carbonated apple juice. The scent is mild with the standard apple cider aroma. The taste starts off with a decent apple flavor but quickly turns kind of sour as it finishes. If you are looking for a good, easy to find cider then go with Angry Orchard. If you are looking for a good apple beer, then go with New Glarus Apple Ale. This beer leaves a lot of room for improvement in volume and in taste.

Best served ice cold. Appearance isn't bad since it does have a nice golden color but smell is somewhat like baby wipes and apple juice. Reminds me of a day care. Taste is like a light lager beer flavor with a cider-apple taste mixed in and mouthfeel is like water. It is smooth and thin and goes down easy and best of all, no bad after taste. It's certainly not the craft style beer they try to make it out to be but on a hot summer day or after yard work, this might be a nice refreshing way to cool off. I most likely won't buy it again but at roughly $1 a bottle, it wasn't a total waste.
