Golden color with a thin head that keeps a constant plate.
Light aroma with notes of bread and butter and faint honey.
Flavor is a bit more interesting with its spicy hops/yeast, perfume, dough, papaya, honey is quite faint, drops of fresh orange juice and pears. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
Fruity Blond Ale with a bit of honey and mild spices. Gets more interesting once it warms up.

L- Yellowish amber body with a great creamy white head.
S- Sweet honey aroma just as expected.
T- Fresh and solid malt flavor, with a sweet hint, a bit underwhelming.
F- Light, crisp.
O- Aroma opened great but the taste was underwhelming, just a tad sweeter than a common blonde or amber.

It's OK. Absolutely no bitterness. Goes down with a little more noticeability than most Mexican lagers. Might buy again due to limited selection. Sweet but gives a dry aftertaste.

Apariencia: Color ámbar, dorado con concentraciones marrón. Corona de espuma muy leve y de poca retención. Cerveza Filtrada.

Aroma: Aroma a lúpulo americano y maltas base.

Now an amber ale... Nothing wrong with this, just your average drinker.

Pours a clear golden yellow with a white head which dissipates quickly and leaves some lacing.

Nose has bready malt with some sweetness.

Taste smooth and creamy with a malt backbone and the sweetness of the honey at the finish. I've had honey beers before and this is the first time I found the honey actually prevalent.

Overall not bad. It's a little sweet for me.

I enjoyed last year's offerings from Cucapa, so I was excited to see this come out of my Advent Calendar for day 9. In general, I'm not a big fan of blondes (beers or otherwise), so I was glad to see the addition of honey to this brew. This is a very respectable and drinkable ale - the honey adds a nice balance without being cloying. I could see myself enjoying several of these while deep sea fishing off the Baja coast - talk about positive imaging!

330ml bottle, day 9 of the 2014 Craft Beer Advent calendar. Hmmm...more out of season beer for a winter/holiday themed collection, no?

This beer pours a clear, bright medium copper amber hue, with three fingers of puffy, broadly foamy, and bubbly ecru head, which leaves some stellar roiling sea froth lace around the glass as it evenly subsides.

It smells of, well, earthy and floral honey, bready, doughy pale malt, bruised apples and pears, a hint of musty yeast, and a bit of bitter herbal grassiness. The taste is more bready, lightly crackery pale malt, a touch of caramel sweetness, a hovering floral honey character, kind of tart, bordering on sour orchard fruit, and a gritty, yet understated yeastiness.

The bubbles are fairly sedate, barely a careless whisper arising here and there, the body medium-light in weight, and a bit too tacky to be denoted as all that smooth. It finishes well off-dry, the doughy malt and interminable honey carrying the day.

Yeah, not a particularly robust style for starters, but these Mexican craft brewers do take a good running start at it - the honey is at least genuinely represented, and the malty doughiness that I've come to expect in a blonde ale of the (north) American variety is certainly present and accounted for. While still plain, and pretty much inappropriate for an ADVENT calendar, I could see this playing well enough in the summertime patio scene.
