Presentation: Sampled during a visit to the Upstream Brewing Company, Omaha on 23rd September 2003. Served on draft, in a pint Glass.
Appearance: Blonde, that had a golden hue when sat on the Table. Nice white head at first, dissipated quickly after a few mouthfuls, but retained a thin broken head covering. Had a Euro-Lager look in the darkened Downstairs dining area.
Nose: Biscuit malts, hints of hops, feint toasted odors. Weak.
Taste: Weak hops intermingled with lightly toasted malt middle. Some ash in the ending, mixed with light butterscotch in the finish. Light strength tastes.
Mouthfeel: Average, nothing compelling about the beer, but far from thin as the tastes had me believe. Some astringency mixed in with a buttery feel on the tongue at times.
Drinkability: I struggled to finish this a bit. I just had the one but PBR drinkers may well be able to handle a second with little difficulty.
Overall: Maybe this is a house brewed "bridge-beer" directly targeted for Bud drinkers. Its a decent enough Blonde and good enough to replace the usual Bud-Coor-Millite offerings, but it may well fall short for seasoned beer drinkers that expect a little more flavor. Probably the "worst" (read least appealing) of the UBC beers I feel.

Tasted on-tap 11/06/06 at Upstream brewpub in Omaha, NE.
Light yellow-ish gold in color with a low white head and decent carbonation. A light adjunct-like aroma and flavor with no hint of hops. Not much here at all and only slightly better than the "O!" Gold Light Lager they offer -- it may be hard to tell these apart if you were blindfolded. Light bodied with a light adjunct-like finish.
Unfortunately a boring Blonde Ale for a brewpub...
Per UBC website: 4.4% ABV

Very light gold beverage with a light beading. Very clear. No head, but the collar left a decent lacing.
Nutty malt smell with a little fruit in the aroma. Not much else.
This is actually pretty good for a blond. Usually in a sampler, the lightest (blond, pilsner) ends up being my least favorite, this one upset the pattern.
In the end it was a little watery for my taste, but it was very fresh tasting and quite thirst quenching.

A nice gold hue with a decent head leaving excellent lacing on the glass.
Smelled wheat, and hops with a slight hint of malt, overall pleasant.
Taste was very good, smooth mellow hops followed by decent helping of malt. This was nothing outside the ordinary but very good for the style.
Light and smooth this is generally a nice selection. I will have this again.
