Last of the Iron Springs haul....Sad day...ANyway, Pours a rich golden-ish yellow. Head disappears as quickly as it pours, no lacing. Nose is, as my pal commented, something akin to dirty laundry. So far, not so good...Flavor is a weakish, heaty mixture of maltiness with a touch o' da hops. Finish is short and watery. Not great, but refreshing...

Poured from 22oz bomber into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: light golden hue with a moderate haze and effervescence. Head is a finger of super fizzy white foam that doesn't stick around too long.
Smell: lightly sweet malt with a pretty prominent adjunct corniness and lightly plastic-smelling element. Thankfully it's light enough not to be super offensive, but it's not particularly enticing.
Taste: mild, a little corny, and a little sweet. Not as bad as the aroma; it reminds me much more of a cream ale than a Kölsch.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a light carbonation and creaminess. Not terrible; it's a little bit refreshing, but it's not exciting.
Overall: the aroma is a little bit off-putting, but overall it's OK and it has the advantage of being low ABV and inoffensive enough to be quite sessionable. Points for drinkability.

Surprisingly bitter with metallic and straw notes (could be an older bottle). Not as balanced, and frankly drinkable, as other Kölsch (and Kölsch-style) brews I've had; e.g., Magnolia Kalifornia and Fort Point Kölsch.

Tried this on tap at the brewery one fine day. This poured a crystalline gold, clear and bright in the glass. Light aroma, and a quick finish on the palate. I suppose all those qualities are desired in a kolsh, although I could have used a taste more on my end.
