Poured from a can into a stein. Beer is yellow and clear with moderate carbonation and minimal lacing.

Aroma: minimal sweetness.

Beer is light in body, minimal sweetness, no aftertaste. Pilsner malt. Not as bad as the red. No boiled vegetable taste or aroma. Overall it's OK.

Tasted by wife; even she says it's not bad. And she is not a lager fan.

Pours pale yellow with a large white head. Corny mild aroma. Malty fizzy taste. Watery mouthfeel. Everything you love in a malt liquor. The point was more alcohol and little beer taste. We used to buy kegs of this stuff for parties in the summer and it was a huge hit. The 18 to 25 year old crowd loved this stuff. As a craft beer drinker I would have rate this a slightly better than average as a malt liquor and fairly much in the middle of the pack when it comes to adjunct American macros. The modern version is best avoided altogether unless pounding beers is your game.

Part of a malt liquor tasting.

I see why people drink this from a can. It pours piss yellow with a massive piss head.

Smells the way it looks. Corn sweetness, some skunky smells. Not appealing at all.

Tastes a little better than the nose. If you can get past the smell it's not that bad. The taste is not that exciting, just corn and alcohol.

The feel isn't bad. Creamy and full-bodied, yet syrupy.

Drinkable? Well, it won't kill you immediately. You could do better. It came in dead last during the tasting.

Being what it is, a cheap malt liquor, it has a decent flavor. Not bad at all really, but not great either. Just OK to me. It pours a pale straw color, and has a very strong smell of corn adjunct (most likely to boost alcohol content). Nothing overly offensive though. Not an unpleasant drinking experience, and if I found myself really thirsty, and hot and sweaty... I could see myself drinking it again. All in all, it's OK. It's a cheap malt liquor with an OK taste. Nothing really stands out as far as taste goes though. If you want a decent malt liquor, then this may be your beer...

Bought a 24 oz. can of Schlitz blue bull, it is my first time trying the almighty Schlitz so hopes are high.

well it was nothing to suprising, considering it's legendary status among malt liquor aficionados.

I didn't bother pouring it into anything, I don't think beer of this kind should.

It's smell was nothing stellar average notes of a little corn adjunct and maybe mild artificial sweetner.

Mouthfeel was to be expected maybe a little heavier then I would have initially though.

Drinkability was good, not amazing as it has been built up to be. I'm on the fence, I'd honestly rather have a Mickey's or King Cobra. I'd buy again if I needed a change of pace.

poured into of all things my duvel glass.

A: pours golden amber, with a very frothy white head, which laced a little bit.
S: very grainy and corny, slight chemical odor.
T: grain and corn, a very light roast malt a long corn and grain aftertaste
M: crisp and watery not much else
D: easy, not bad, not great, but is within the style

Poured from a brown 40 oz. bottle. Has a pale yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of malts, some sweetness. Taste is crisp, malty, not very flavorful but actually quite refreshing. Feels light in the mouth and is very drinkable, probably more so than any other malt liquor I have had. Overall not a bad example of this beer style.

12 oz can poured into pint glass

A: Crystal clear pale gold, not quite straw, pure white head that actually stays, very fluffy looking, you can see it settle though, but it isn't as fast as some

S: Pure sweet adjuncts, unappealing malt liquor aroma

T: Almost nothing, then it just sweet quickly and coats you're mouth with that sickeningly sweet adjunct flavor

M: Pretty medium, or maybe a bit shy, drying at the end

D: Ok, bad flavor, kind of hard to drink because of the sweetness

Notes: While I have yet to find a malt liquor that is super delicious, I would consider this one on the bottom half of the ones I've had. The flavors are just too much, I'd rather it taste like less because then it wouldn't be so grossly sweet.

16 oz tallboy can pours a very clear light gold color with a fluffy, but surprisingly dense, white foam. Retention is actually pretty decent and leaves zero lacing in it's wake. One the better looking malt lickas I've seen.

Nose is heavily laden with light cereal grains and alcohol fruitiness. Pretty clean, not getting many off notes.

This bull is pretty sweet, almost sugary graininess with a bit of tropical fruit. Alcohol and a dollop of what I am assuming is hops make for a drying and mildly bitter finish. ABV is pretty restrained but still noticeable. Carbonation is about medium or slightly low for a malt liquor. Pretty slick and it slides down the throat with ease. Would rather have one of these than say...a bud light.

Schlitz Malt Liquor is an interesting brand in this genre. It has a smallish head and light yellow color; also relatively minimal carbonation. The smell is very lager-like and mild. This malt liquor, while having a rather harsh taste that takes some adjusting to, does have distinct characteristics and could be described as much more beer-like than most malt liquors. The taste is harsh on the front end, but winds up mild and satisfying at the end. Mouthfeel is crisp and pleasant. Drinkability for Schlitz Malt Liquor is contingent upon it being served very cold and kept that way. I'd recommend this with spicy or salty foods, maybe even raw oysters. Overall, it's okay. I'm sure I'll drink it again at some point. I drank this out of a 40 oz. bottle in a chalice over a one day period.

Poured into an 8 ounce tasting glass five times. Smells fairly clean. Grainy, mildly corn-like. High amounts of carbonation, but with a slick kinda sugary feeling on the tongue. Not hot or harsh like a lot of malt liquors. Better than I remembered it.

The Bull in a CAN! Wow. It is now identified as Schlitz Malt Liquor O. M. L. (Original Malt Liquor). CAN you dig it? The bull still reminds me of Babe, Paul Bunyan's companion. Big, blue, rampaging ...

I got a finger of rocky, bone-white head that gradually settled into wisps. Color was a pretty sunshine-yellow with NE-quality clarity. Nose was really sweet, almost unnaturally so. Definitely fusel, like walking into a dry cleaner's. Oof. It had a medium mouthfeel, which was nice, but the taste was a combination of perfume, bubble gum and cereal. And to think that I was once intimidated by this stuff ... Now, it just seemed cheap and not well made at all. The finish was dry, but it left a lingering taste of cereal in my mouth. My CAN held 24 ounces and that was PLENTY, believe me. I CANnot get my mind around a 40 of this dreck.

Really impressed with this beer!

Pours into an ice cold mug from a quart.
Pale gold color. Head was only thick due to the coolness of the mug mind you. other than that it subsides.

Smells lemony orangish to me with some carbonization hit.

In the mouth it feels simple as simple can get. Easy to drink on. hits the tongue, fast carbonization and fizz and then as it slides to the throat, gone! Easy down.

Taste is a sweet malt! Thats all I can sum up for you in the taste department. As far as this style goes. I can tell you this.. I NEVER drink this beer as it warms up. I keep it ice cold the entire time. It does not take away from the taste of it. It preserves the flavor HAHA!! This one I would actually say its ok to let it warm up a bit due to thee sweetness and it would be ok.

This one tops my list of malt liqours for now til I find a better one but This is still a good go-to for your malty needs.

Poured pretty aggressively yielding 2 fingers of white head that dissipated at a medium rate. The beer is a clear straw color with good carbonation.

Smells skunky with a bit of malt and grain.

tastes skunky and grainy. Really bad.

Clean and crisp mouthfeel.

Drinking this almost makes me wanna puke. Very hard to drink.

Wish we got a clear picture of the can before it was crushed. lol...

Poured into Sam Adams Sensory Glass

Pours a 1/2 finger hear that fizzles down quickly. No head. No retention. No lace. Color is a clear straw yellow.

Aroma is skunky and metallic grain. Not much else.

Taste is metallic grain just like the smell. Not skunky. Very bad. Hard to keep in mouth for very long.

Mouthfeel: CRISP like an American macro lager. Ends with an unpleasant chewy aftertaste.

Overall, this is a pretty bad beer. Shared a pint with ThePeskyDingo (thank heavens I didn't have to drink this animal myself). Warning: Stay Away from DAS BULL!

16 oz. can from Belmont Party Supply.

Poured light pale color with a large white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate sweet grainy aroma. Light body and thin texture with soft carbonation. Light sweet grainy flavor with a light sweet finish of short duration.

Another cold wet alcohol brew with little character.

Poured from a 24oz can into a beer mug.

Appearance/Smell - Appears clear golden/pale yellow with an inch of frothy head that surprisingly holds very well and clings to the glass. Finishes with sticky, spotty lacing, and has very high carbonation, as well as pretty large bubbles. Looks very inviting! Smells of sweet corn, mixed vegetables, a little grains, tart grape and a little malt. Hints of metal as well, and all very balanced, nothing dominates. Reminds me of an average American Adjunct, nothing offensive!

Taste/Mouthfeel - Tastes of loads of sweet malt, sweet corn, mixed vegetables and grains all mixed together with hints of metallic twang. As well as hints of alcohol and tart grape, finishes with a musty, moldy hop bitterness, but at least it's there! Mouthfeel is smooth, semi creamy, and medium bodied. Surprisingly has a small bite of carbonation on the palate, although it has very high carbonation. overall pretty desirable body!

Drinkability/Final thoughts - The drinkability of this Malt is overwhelming! You could drink it all night long because it doesn't develop any offensive odors or flavors as it warms. I am very impressed by the appearance of this malt, retains it's high carbonation and a creamy ring around the glass throughout entire consumption! I'm just blown away, very impressive all around, flavors not experienced in any other malt that Iv tried.

If your into Malt Liquor, than you must try this! Cheers!

Got this in a quart from the lcbo. Drank straigt from the bottle, nice golden yellow color, and after every swig nice head is left over. Smells more like a beer than a malt, but odd at the same time. Taste is good on this one, i docked it .5 because it gets rather flat after about 10-15 swigs. Otherwise, tastes like macro, booze is hidden, goes down smooth. I like it. Mouthfeel is full, and smooth. Drinkability is perfect, when ice cold, its really easy to pound em back, has more taste than a macro, but its low in ABV so thats kind of a turn off, but otherwise rock solid malt.

Poured from a 24 oz can into pint glass.

A - Standard crystal clear yellow. A little on the light side for the style. A finger of white head comes and goes without a trace.

S - Soft, mild aroma of sweet corn. Some sulfur is hiding in the corners. Amazingly unoffensive and mild for a malt liquor, I like it.

T - Strangely subdued. Cereal grain with a soft sweetness followed by a whisper of green apple peel. A dusty/beach water taste starts to sour things up in the finish until an abrupt bitterness with a hint of alcohol cleans up.

M - Light bodied but thinner than expected for the style. Moderate carbonation is a little too low.

D - Another malt liquor really, nothing more and nothing less. Strikingly unoffensive but also lacking the punch it needs.

Let's face facts. You're riding the bull. It's a malt liquor in a can, so don't expect too much. That said, here we are drinking malt liquor out of a can. I think the theme of this beer can be summed up by visiting a porta-potty outside any given sporting event.

It pours a tainted urine yellow with a sweet smell that reminds me of pure urinal cake. The taste is unremarkable yet makes me pine for caramel candy. The finish is abrasive but since you know what you're doing you'll tolerate it. I don't even need to describe the mouthfeel. Ladies and gentlemen, if you're gonna ride a bull tonight - why not make it a Schlitz?

By the way, I passed a urine test by using Schlitz as my piss.

This is decent, particularly for what it is. Like other lower-alcohol malt liquors, it basically has a character of a slightly stronger basic American pale lager. It basically has an American-lager "beer" smell and taste. It's simple and light but somewhat tasty, smooth, and inoffensive.

Bright yellow-gold, it has a fairly big white head that steadily shrinks to a thin ring but leaves behind a little weak lace.

The aroma is mostly mild grain and cooked rice with a hint of piney-grassy hops and a faint alcohol whiff to it.

The taste has a light grainy sweetness to it actually balanced with a wisp of piney-grassy hop bitterness and flavour. This is a little less grain-tasting, sweet, and full-bodied than some, like Mickey's or Colt 45, but has a slightly stronger hop chracter and bitterness, making it more well-rounded.

Pours a clear pale gold with a minimal frothy head and not a lot of lace. The aroma is sweet with some malt bread and vegetal elements noticeable. The taste is quite full flavored for a macro lager, but not pleasant. Heavy sweetness mixes with cooked corn and other vegetal flavors upfront. In the background there's a dull hop bitterness and some alcohol spice. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and heavily carbonated and even booze numbing.

This is a poor example of a malt liquor, its too sweet and vegetal.

Like most malt liquors, Schlitz is something I hope to never drink again. The yellow color and poor head make me think it should be enjoyed from the can. Wait, did I just say enjoy? There was nothing enjoyable about the taste or smell. Both were of corny grains and cheap alcohol. The body was light and a little syrupy. At just under six percent, this isn't even good for getting drunk.

Awesome can!

Pours a clear fizzy yellow. Big white head. Smells like corn malt, tastes like skunky corn malt, and there really isn't much going on here. It's a sweeter beer than most, so maybe they actually used some sort of malt base.

Still, it's mostly carbonated water.

Could be the worst brew my young beer intellect has had yet. Worse, I don't find Schlitz to be as bad as it is made out to be. But this, was bad. Even the bottle is ghetto. It is just a silver label with the "Blue Bull" and it says Schlitz Malt Liquor. Can you make something generic if it is already generic. The brew itself is a cheap, alcoholic speedball. It has no redeeming qualities as the taste is very weak and bitter, but the mouthfeel is one of smoothness because it goes right down the pike. This is designed for someone to slam a couple on the cheap and get their buzz.
