Served with a lemon wedge, which I promptly - and probably mistakenly - removed. The lemon would have added some charm...

Where do I start? This is not a good beer.
Looks OK for a hefeweizen, but the smell is of sulfur, bandaids and hay. Blech!
Taste is not as bad as the smell, but is not good: harsh wheatiness dominates, shoving aside other anemic flavors that try against all hope to establish their presence. Mouthfeel is boring, and drinkability is poor due to the stupidly unrefined taste. Pass this one over. Please.

Brewed with 50% wheat malt, Steinweizen is dusty ochre, densely translucent, and shines with beerish luster. It sports a faint grainy smell, a thin head, and trails a substantial array of lace. Though not an especially flavorful example of an American-style wheat beer, Steinweizen delivers a momentary flush of sweetness before exiting with a drab, lingering aftertaste. Take the optional lemon when they offer it. This beer could benefit from some supplemental character.
