Best before 3/27/14. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours burnt orange with great clarity; fluffy white head that sticks around and leaves great lacing and retention. The aromas are full of sticky grapefruit. There's some sweet caramel malts in the mix. Solid combination or citrus and tropical notes in the aromas and flavors. It tastes sweet, but there's a very solid bitterness. The hop flavor and hop bitterness do their thing. More grapefruit. Hints of pine needles. There's a very solid caramel malt backbone, but it's balanced out by the hops. It finishes slightly spicy. There's a subtle warmth to it, which is enjoyable in this case. Mouthfeel is very nice. It's medium-bodied with active carbonation. It's very creamy and fluffy. Alcohol goes unnoticed and it's very smooth.

This is basically an IPA in my book. It's very enjoyable and possibly the best beer I've had from Sixpoint. Drink this one fresh. Recommended.

A lovely holiday brew with The right look smell and taste to put you in the spirit of the season. Monster head that never leaves and deposit copious lacing as I consume it. A slightly hazed dusky amber liquid with orange hues. A mild amount of activity in the glass as the bubbles show up here and there to rise and help deliver the hoppy nose. Aroma carries big balanced amounts of caramel malts and resiny hops. Mild fruitiness says the yeast is working. Hops leave a nice amount of pine.
Taste is quite malt forward for a Sixpoint beer but the hops quickly step in and leave a huge deposit on my tongue. Pine and citrus together, it shows up and dries my mouth, leaving a light grain and hop oil deposit in the finish. Sweetness is barely there , replaced by malt and breadiness.
Light almost banana-like fruitiness. Feel is crisp and somewhat chewy with a surprising heft in the mouth that shows up and pulls it all together. Easy drinkability that sets you up for night of tasting. This is good stuff. The balance is very good, with a crisp drinkability. An exceptional holiday quaffer that lends itself to a celebration and enjoyment. Yum
