The enhanced Sixpoint IPA formulation, first released in the summer of 2014 and uses a blend of new hop strains for a juicy, citrusy, piney hop slashing.
It all started with an epic video game marathon back in 2004. Rocking blaze-orange homebrew, we saw the foam rings down the glass like tiger stripes. Thousands of batches and tweaks later, the BENGALI® still slashes. Tip in back and let gravity do the work. Game on!

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours red orange with a fluffy white head. Smells of citrus hops, not that strong. Tastes of citrus and piney hops, nice and strong, way better than the aroma. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Clear orangish gold, dense but thin white head, great retention, thin rings of lace
Floral and complex citrus aroma- oranges, grapefruit, and mandarin
Tastes like it smells, just enough malt sweetness to balance a broad, lingering bitterness
Medium bodied and appropriately carbonated
I dig it

Appearance: Cloudy, amber/orange; large off white head; good lacing.
Aroma: Resinous, some citrus, slightly vegetal (not corn, more leafy-like).
Taste: Hop focused but balanced by a solid malt backbone.
Mouthfeel: Tangy, well carbonated, medium bodied. Crisp finish.
Overall: One and done.

Hello old friend! Surprised to see this on a draught list again. Been awhile.,
Nice cold pint arrived full headed, looks like a photo of an old skool IPA.
Smells that dankity piney citrus fruit rind we like.
Tasty too. Wrung grapefruit with a hoppy stank. Balanced lil bit of sweetness and bitter. Clean dry finish.
Feels a bit thin, but well carbed.
Overall, reminds me of what unpretensious IPAs were 20 years ago, in a good way.

12 oz. can, best by NOV 04, 2022, finally a can of beer from Sal's that isn't well beyond expired. Continuing my dive into my stash of new-to-me beers from Sixpoint; interesting to discover that they've retired their Bengali Tiger (an American IPA) and seem to have replaced it with this guy, perhaps a tweaked recipe of the same famous brew..
Poured to a clear unbranded snifter.
Body is what I like to call 'burnt sienna' orange, a nice classical IPA color, this is what I remember them looking like; finger of frothy doughy off-white head that does leave some good streaks of lacing. Looks almost sticky, sweet, dessert-y.
Big creamy malty aroma - notes of caramel, toffee, some soapiness, bit of earthy / herbal hop twigginess. Smells fresh & appealing.
Big malt-forward flavors on this one - almost barleywine-ish, which is surprising considering the modest abv, but there is huge flavors of toffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, with some piney, slight grapefruit-esque hop bitterness carrying the finish. Definitely feels like at least more of an English style IPA than it does American, especially by today's standards. I'm personally loving this, and I wish they made more IPA's like this one still.
Feel is smooth, crisp, clean, medium-bodied / easy drinking stuff. Flavors of toffee / caramel, and piney hop bitterness / resins clinging to the palate on the finish.
Overall, a super enjoyable beer from Sixpoint, and as I said, I wish they still made more IPA's like this. I remember reviewing Bengali Tiger years back, and the beer we have before us today is a nice living tribute to Sixpoint's past. Highly recommended.

Look...Orange like a tiger but a little darker with an ample white head with very little if no haze. Old school IPA look
Smell...Such light smell of hop citrus. Close to nonexistent and not unpleasant.
Taste...bitter grapefruit off the top very nice. A nice rounded taste with the bitter sweet bitter and balance that make this beer very good.. A nice drying at the end
Feel...A nice lacing and full sticky resin that makes the beer very full. a nice quality
Overall...This beer I tried many years ago and was nice to revisit again. Really enjoyed this and will drink independently of the variety pack. A beer i would purchase again

Pours a bright orangish gold with a medium but extremely persistent dense head. Very pretty. Smell is bright piney and citrusy hops. Old school IPA flavor with a bracing bitterness up front and especially in the finish. Piney. Just enough malt character, a little toasted malt, some sweet light malt to provide some balance. Tasty and very drinkable. This is like the IPA's that got me into the style in the first place. Very good and one of the best IPA's I've tried in a while.
