The Mad Scientists kept tweakin' that Jammer till it rocked so hard. Bygone brewers repping the Sixpoint star provided the concept and our friends at Jacobsen Salt hooked us up with the key ingredient. It's salty, it's sour, and it's slammin.' It's Mad Science.

Poured from can to tumbler, this beer was light yellow (almost a pilsener color) with a short-lived white cap of foam. Very light haze, quite clear for the style.
Aroma - it has everything it needs, nothing jumps out. Hints of acidity, salty, biscuit/cracker, lemon citrus, vaguely spicy. If I didn't know it was coriander I wouldn't say I could detect it specifically. Lightly floral and herbaceous.
Taste - again, nothing rough around the edges and actually a bit clean and muted. Not overly salty, not too tart, a bit of sweetness. Mild spice notes and a little floral. No detectable bitterness in my opinion. It ends middle of the road for me in taste.
Feel - light and lively, but with some mineral residue presumably from the salt. Nicely carbonated.
Hmmm...this is an OK beer to my palate. Light and refreshing for a summer beer, but my opinion is that is not as good as other presentations in the style. Would certainly drink it again as it is pretty easy to find. I don't think I'd say it "rocked so hard" and unless slammin' refers to slammin a few down without side effects, I can't agree with it being slammin' either. Good beer and a decent representation of the style overall that is worth grabbing but I wouldn't go out of my way to find.

Canned last August, which explains the blowout price point ($9/15 pack). Oh well; it lists a best by date of this coming August. Guess I'm in luck. *pops the top* This is _real_ friggin' light all around, but it's kind of what I expected from 125 calories and it really hits the spot all hot and sweaty after walking the dog. I'm kind of confused by the nutrition facts on the label, though: 7g of fat? That can't possibly be right. Maybe it's .7? Do I need new glasses? Is this even a beer review anymore?

Aroma is of salt, and tartness. Pours a slightly cloudy straw, with a quickly fading white head. Light bodied beer, with a bright tart note, and a touch of salt. The light body makes this a very drinkable beer, and a good one on a summer day, or after a workout.
