Six Points is now one of my top brewers to watch.
The 2nd batch of BT was weaker than the first and had to pull down my review.
It's more of an English Style IPA
I am also a hop and stout head who is a fan of cans. And I live and work near Brooklyn.
Brewers: If you're gonna sell in 4 packs, please sell in 16oz cans! Another Plus.
OK - all my bias out on the table, now the beer...
Appearance: Pours a nicely cloudy amber body and a sticky, lasting, rocky head that leaves loads lacing behind. Perfect look.
Smell: Pine forest, salt wind, fall earth, wet grass form a base for fruity esters of apricot and grapefruit. Fresh and inviting.
Taste: Follows the smell. Like Sculpin offers a fresh fruit bitter ness like a freshly picked tangerine or apricot/sweet cara orange that leads to resinous, piney, biting finish. It lingers a long while, with a balanced citrus fruit and malt. Fruit & Hops over malt for sure. Very fresh tasting, like newly picked and squeezed fruit.
Mouthfeel: Creamy as I like them, medium to heavy bodied with low carbonation.
Drinkability: Intriguing flavor, fresh, great with food. The mark of a great - must try beer for me - is I must taste it off against my favorites, in this case: Sculpin, Titan, Dales Pale.

Rating from notes. Consumed January 2013. "Aromatic IPA. Flavour gets a little watery towards the end, but otherwise this is well executed."

I really like this as an example of a lighter IPA--one that I enjoy drinking by itself rather than just with food. It's not quite a session beer, but I can have more than one without feeling either like my mouth is turning to cotton or that I'm about to fall off of my stool.
