Poured into a mason jar from a 16oz can.

Pours a nice bright copper color with some great orange hues. A thick and chunky off-white head forms that recedes very slowly and leaves some nice lacing all over the edges of the jar.

Very nice resinous hop notes. Intense citrus hop notes with some grapefruit juice and grapefruit rind notes. Nice mild caramel sweetness.

Starts off with intense citrus notes. Grapefruit and tangerines notes are present as well. Bready and tasty grain notes are present and mix well with the intense citrus notes. Tons of grapefruit present all around with some slight resinous and hop juice sweetness on the background. Mouthfeel is crisp and dray with a great intense bitter finish.

Pretty good brew. It had been a while since I had some of this. Still pretty good. Grassy and herbal with tons of citrus notes. Very nice.

18oz can
Poured into a SanTan pint glass
Best before Aug 18

Appears hazy, bright orange with white head that dissipates quickly, no lacing. Smells like pine resin, dank and floral hops. Taste is just like the smell, but with a powerful bitterness and a touch of bready malt. Citrusy tropical fruit comes forward as it warms. Light bodied with medium carbonation, drinks smoothly and has a crisp finish with lingering bitterness. Great portrayal of an east coast IPA.

Grainy orange gold color with 2 fingers of orange tinted head. Not much retention, but decent lace.

Nose is orange citrus and bready malt, with a shot of pepper. Nothing too strong, but pleasant.

Malt-backed IPA. Getting some light pear, maybe even cactus (weird, I know, but I've had cactus before and this is coming back to me in this glass). Ripe, sharp hops sitting atop a strong malt back. Normally, not a fan of malt backed IPA's, but this works for me. Finish is tanic and somewhat dry.

Body is thick. Not too syrupy, but definitely thick.

Not quite as sharp as I'd like, but well done. I'd get it again.

Finally found some of this in cans the other week. Picked up a 4 pack of pounder cans. Poured into a pint glass.

A: A medium copper orange color with a off white fluffy head. Nice lacing.

S: Fruits start with orange and grapefruit with some huge spicy pne scents and some bready malt.

T: The fruit starts with a big blast of orange, tangerine and grapefruit. The spicy piney earthly flavor takes over the fruit with the deep malt sweetness that turns nice and bitter. Bitterness smooths a bit on the finish but stays spicy and prickly. Nice beer.

M: Full, prickly, dark, spicy resiny with not a lot of alcohol. Finish lasts.

O: A great beer from a can that is very drinkable. More of an east coast style with the darker hop notes, but still really really good.

I really like this beer as a change of pace. It also makes a nice beach beer with the cans. Overall a very balanced IPA that drinks very well. I'll take a can of this any day of the week. Nice.
