Our bedrock Brown Ale, and one of the first beers ever brewed by Sixpoint. A smooth, malty trip down a hop-lined Brooklyn street.

Appearance: light brown in color, 1/4 inch head, clear, moderate carbonation
Smell: toasted malt and nut
Taste: toasted malt, big nutty middle, hops towards the end, and caramel throughout
Mouthfeel: medium bodied, medium carbonation, moderately sweet
Drinkability: This is one of the more complex brown ales I have had. I know there is a flavor in there I cannot put my hand on. The nuttiness is there to match some other sweet flavors. Great brew, wish I could find this in bottles.

It pours a nice brown color and yields the same color body. A great one inch white foamy head appears and lasts for a good two minutes. Nice spider-web foamy lacing appears and lasts practically forever. The smell has the hops in front of the malts. A slight nuttiness comes through as the beer warms. The taste has pretty much the same smells in the tastes combining and eventually yielding a slight enjoyable sweetness that I really like. The palate is about a light to medium with nothing harsh on the tongue. Overall, this is good. I’d have it again.
