Remember your first sip of hazy beer? We do. The game had completely changed. The bitter battle was over. This was the antithesis - almost seemed too good to be true. Like it was from another planet. Aren’t hops supposed to be bitter? This is pure hop candy! Thinking about that haze...bursting with juice...ripe as all hell...makes me look backward at those ANTI-RESINS all night long. Welcome to the bizarro world.

Resin’s proprietary hop blend gets flipped on its head to extract potent hop character with no bitterness.

Somewhat hazy gold with an evaporating bubbly white cap. First sip is pretty intense and complex, with flavors of grapes, melon, some tropical fruit, plus a slight sourness. After first sip, flavor mellows and is more subtle, understatedly fruity. A bit surprising with Sixpoint touting this beer anti-resin nature. There are far fruitier options out there. Perhaps most noteworthy was the way a 9.1% ABV was so very well disguised in the blend.

Typical SixPoint tall and thin 12 oz can.."Best by 3/13/23" stamped on the bottom.

Hazed up, typical NEIPA looking pour going on here. Dark eggshell mini cap, and leaves a bunch of spotty lacing.

Fragrant sniff, with floral and tropical notes.

Pleasing quaffer, with earthy, and again flowery/tropical qualities......tasty and enjoyable....fine everyday kinda NEIPA from the good folks at SixPoint...."Beer is Culture"

Emptying two twelve ounce cans into a clear glass liter mug goes very smoothly. Most importantly, there's no mass of stark white foam on top off the brew. Instead, there's a modest slightly off-white head that appears to be enduring. The ale is dull and opaque, but not dank, apricot-amber in color. Even for a NEIPA, this has a mildly soft aroma, without much hop input. There's really not much aroma at all. It drinks softly, but there is a polite amount of hops to taste. This really isn't as fruity nor as sweet as the brewer's description leads to believe. For an IPA lover that appreciates it when NEIPAs actually taste like they're in the IPA family, this is great. It's one of those higher ABV ales in which the taste of alcohol contributes, rather than detracts, from the overall. With the hopping and alcohol, this has a slightly spicy and dry finish, again, a good thing. The epitome of a NEIPA wouldn't have bold hops, nor malting and this doesn't. But, this is fairly true to the overall Imperial IPA, more so than the New England style. Within that concept, it's really good. Perhaps a little thin on mouthfeel and glass lacing, but nicely balanced among its mild flavors.

12 oz. can, best by Nov 17, 2022, so I've got about three days before this beer self-detonates. A new one to me from Sixpoint, apparently with 0 IBU which i was unaware of until just a few moments ago..

Poured to Camp Crystal Lake stemless wine snifter.
Crisp golden orange body - not hazy, but with some fine sediment linger. Finger of soapy white head that leaves some good sticky spotty lacing. Looks very nice.
The age is beginning to show on the aroma just a tad: notes of bread, caramel malt, and sour yeast are beginning to come forth. Flowery hop presence, with notes of peaches, apricot, cream, and a hint of booze fumes.
Taste follows the nose: ultra fruity & floral, tastes super concentrated, like orange juice concentrate that wasn't watered down enough. Flavors of tangerine, peaches, apricots, white grape. Sweet & sugary tasting, almost like it was blended with fruit puree.
Feel is super crisp, smooth, clean. Not overly bitter, but fruity, & juicy in the finish. The 9.10% abv is extremely well-masked except for a touch of heat on the end.

Tall 12 oz can ($2.49 from the Wall of Beer in Clemson SC) with a BB date stamped on the bottom that is less than 3 weeks from today. Stored under refrigeration.

Appearance. Cloudy golden body with a decent good white head.

This is an exceptionally floral DIPA, and it's not just the aroma ... the flavor is also quite floral if more dank. Both also carry some light herbal notes. Moderate+ bitterness for the style.

The appearance of this beer is a nice pale yellow color. Slightly hazy looking. It smells yeasty, sweet and mild. Lightly carbonated. Overall this isnt nearly as hoppy as a typical IPA. Its got a mild and bright taste. Very nice and different for an IPA.

At first: i love Resin. This Anti-Resin is very interesting though: Multiple floral notes combined with hops and quite no bitterness. The high ABV is masterly masked.

Look...Hazy copper yellow with more yellow than copper and an ample white head. Low carbonation
Smell...The nondescript undertone of hop citrus and some melon.
Taste...Disseminating that this is the opposite of Resin their should be little or no bitterness. In an IPA i thought no bitterness was not an IPA? Go figure no IBUs . Anyways it starts with an almost alcohol Juice citrus. A little off putting
Feel...Thin with absolutely no body. A good amount of lacing.
Overall...This beer reminds me that the big guys have a tendency to F*ck this style up and they did. It is not bad enough to drain pour but tastes artificial to me. Hate to rag on this but it did not work for me. Age could have been a factor even though it had a Best Buy DATE OF DECEMBER 2022.

Hazy. Juicy, piney, citrusy, floral. Dry finish, booze is well hidden. Not as good as Resin, but good.

In the battle between bitter and sweet-juicy, it's the brews that see-saw best among and between them that I love most.
Anti-Resin is very good, but unidimensionally sweet and juicy.
a) Perfect hazed w a creamy, slashing lace and head.
s) Original citrus fruit, like cherry, melong, and APRICOT added to mostly citrus salad.
t) Follows aroma. Adds vanilla, candy shelf, and some fresh sawn wood.
f) Puckery, not clingy, bright.
o) Among the bigger, mo better NE IPAs.
