A brand new Brut, or extra dry, IPA featuring Citra and Mosaic. It's got a beautiful, pungent candy-like and tropical aroma with a light body, mild haze and a low bittnerness on the snappy, effervescent finish.

Sixpoint Brewery "Sparkler"
12 fl. oz. can, "CANNED 06 JUN 2019 BB 03 DEC 2019 0402 P"
$2.49 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: "Brut IPA w/ Citra, Azacca, & Mosaic", that sounds pretty good. It's a cloudy light yellow in color, looking very much like a glass of juice. There was originally a head of white on it but that's completely gone by now - disappointing. The aroma is pretty intense. It's resinous and super fruity, remarkably pineapple-like. Wow. As expected that carries over into the flavor. It's certainly not as sweet as pineapple juice, but it has the flavor. Overall it's a little thin though, not just in body, but in flavor. I'd say there are also notes of orange, mango, guava, papaya, and blueberry. It's interesting. It's oddly not that bitter for an IPA, even if it is a brut IPA, but it works. It's nicely balanced, and it is dry. It's not a bitter finish but it is dry; short and dry. I like it. So, on to the mouthfeel. It's light bodied and delicately bristling. I have no problem with that because it fits, and that explains some of the lack of head retention; there's just not that much sugar there. At the same time, although this is thoroughly fermented out, the alcohol doesn't show. How strong is this? 7%, that's not that much to begin with so that makes sense. Overall I think it's pretty good. It's one of the better brut IPAs that I've tasted.

Unusually odd color. Looks like a glass of pineapple juice. Minimal head. Certainly dry, aromatic, but flavor is a bit flat. As a fan of Six Point, I was disappointed.

I like the classy looking can artwork, great use of color. The pour is a hazy yellow/light orange in the IPA glass. The taste is lemon, orange, guava, grapefruit, green bell pepper, & basil with a juicy mouthfeel. The beer taste like some other juicy/hazy IPAs that I've had this year, but that's not a bad thing considering that i'm a fan of the style. Moreover, this beer sort of reminds me of a well made witbier. We got another winner from Sixpoint Brewery folks. Cheers! A-

Appearance - has the appearance of an NEIPA in just about every way though this beer identifies as a Brut IPA to my understanding. Orange and like grapefruit juice with a slightly darker color than a OJ itself. Looks great. Little to no head at all.
Smell - smells juicy with smell notes of things like lemon, orange, nectarine, canned fruits. Citrus fruit peel and zest. Nice fragrant beer.
Taste - citrus fruit and berry. Juicy as if fermented on rind and peel. Berries but light berries for sure, not blackberry or raspberry for instance, more like strawberry and the like. Nice taste and very pleasant.
Feel - effervescent and smooth with a crispness that seems appropriate. Crushable. Slight bite. NICE!
Overall - I would drink a 6 pack of this myself over the course of a chill evening. This is one of Sixpoint’s better offerings I think, though I like most of their brews! Overall a very solid hazy brew! My only concern is whether or not this should be called a Brut or if it should be considered a New England. Feels more like an NEIPA.

Thrilled to review, the 27th, of a favorite local brewer. This unusual, refreshing brut IPA works.
a / Opaque orange/yellow color with thin lace, a small amount of carbonation, looks like grapefruit juice, flattish.
s / Big, juicy pungent tropical fruit aroma - all the way.
t / Mostly grapefruit but also tropical fruit, lime. limey in the finish.
f / powdery, cleansing, refreshing - half the reason for choosing it.
o/ belongs in class sixpoint line up. Try 24.

12oz canned 05 JUNE 2019 (3 months ago) BB 02 DEC 2019 poured into a tulip pint glass at fridge temp 7% ABV 6 IBU 3 SRM. The beer pours completely opaque yellow with nearly white head that fizzled out within 60 seconds. No retention, no lacing, ugly beer. Looks like grapefruit juice. The aroma is fruity, mostly vague citrus but a little tropical also. The taste is again like grapefruit juice. The mouthfeel is thin bodied, highly carbonated and dry in the finish. Overall, I don't like it. I can recreate this drink with grapefruit juice and vodka for pennies on the dollar.
