SERVING: Can

A:
Pours a crystal clear golden-amber with 3 fingers of beige head that subsides to a scummy cap. Very good retention; splotchy lacing. (4)

S:
Piney with some biscuity malt underneath. Pine, basil, earthy, pungent herbs, black pepper, pine tar, caramel. (3.75)

T:
Flat pine bitterness. Lemongrass, basil, sap, resinous hops so bitter they're sweet, anise, sweet bready finish. (4)

M:
Creamy and resinous with tingly hop feel throughout; medium bodied with long dry finish. (4)

O:
Very solid IIPA.
It's name couldn't sum it up any better. This is an IPA that focuses on the resinous, sappy, stanky, juniper aspects of hops' flavor.
Pours very nice from the can. Aroma and taste are both firmly hoppy but have some bready-malt-caramel flavors as well. Aroma is much earthier, but more subdued, while the flavor is a sticky onslaught of lip-smacking lupulous laquer for your mouth. I found it to get very licorice/anise-like as I drank through it. Feels nice. Sufficiently creamy to feel rich, sufficiently carbonated to cut the resinousness of it.
Would have again; worth a shot if you ever see it. (4)
