The fruity aromas and intense sweetness at the initial sip take over for a nice hoppy, bitter finish. Some may find the flavor too intense; but with a 9.1% ABV, I think this a very well crafted beer that is definitely worthy of a sampling.

Poured from a 12oz can (Best Before Date of July 15, 2015)...the freshest batch I have had to date.

A- Pours a perfectly clear, deep orange with a beautiful, 1-to-1-1/2 finger's worth of frothy, white head. The lacing lacing rings are beautiful and decorates the glass as the beer is consumed. (4.75)

S- Intense, dank aromas of pine resin, peach, mango, papaya, pineapple and ruby red grapefruit all rolled up into a tight and pungent package. Even after the head subsides, the hops just continue to dominate the nose. (5.0)

T- Hop oils penetrate the palate first followed by a mild wave of malt sweetness. Any sweetness is quickly whisked aside thanks to a wave of tropical fruits and an intensely dry, citrus rind bitterness finish. The 9.1% ABV is completely masked, making this one dangerously drinkable DIPAs. (4.75)

M- Carbonation is spot-on, giving enough to produce a healthy head to feature those hop aromas as well as opening the palate and letting those hops sink in. Resin is medium bodied, making this an easy beer to consume. (4.75)

O- After sporadic revisits (and reviews) of Resin since its initial release back in early 2012, each was good but far from the quality I am tasting right now. The filtering is perfect, the aroma is insane the taste is everything and more that you would experience from a DIPA, carbonation/mouthfeel is perfect and yep...it comes in cans. Whatever Sixpoint has done over the years, Resin (or at least this latest batch to be featured in 6-Packs) is finally dialed in...glad this is available year-round. (4.75)

Best smelling beer I have ever had. Most smell the fruit. I smelled the pine but it was subdued.

There was bitterness but it wasn't excessive which is to my liking.

Big white head. Golden with orange tint.

I would definitely recommend this and get it again. A top notch ipa.

12oz can (Best By: May 15,2015) poured into a chalice

Orange golden clear liquid with a nice stream of carbonation. Dense pencil thick white foam cap. Nice lacings.

Aroma of pine and tropical fruits

Malty sweetness on the tip of the tongue on the first sip. Tropical fruit and pine on the middle of the tongue. Intense bitterness on the middle and back of the tongue on the aftertaste.

Medium mouthfeel , good sudsing and carbonation . Smooth but sharp bitter finish.

I kept hearing about six point and this is my first taste from this brewery. I like it.

This is one damn good balanced IPA. A very smooth beer for 103 IBU's. I would strongly recommend this beer to any IPA beer drinker.
