12oz can, best before 20 Sept 2014, served in a Rastel tulip glass.

Appearance: Cloudy translucent, but glowing, orange-gold-amber. Rocky off white head with crazy lacing all over the glass.

Smell: All sorts of hops and aromas. Citrus, fresh cut tropical fruit, a hint of something herbal, grapefruit, orange peel.

Taste: Very hoppy, but smooth at first and then a slow buildup to strong bitter finish. Citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruits up front, then a smooth sweet malt middle, some breadiness and some caramelized notes. The finish is pine, fresh grapefruit, and a lingering hop bitterness. Potent.

Mouthfeel: Smooth and approaching creamy. Lots of hop oils sticking to the teeth though. Light carbonation.

Overall / Drinkability: A potent beer that really does wear out the palate about halfway through the glass. A definite slow sipper and one per evening on this one. The beer lives up to its name of hop resin oil being the main focus of this beer, but there some malt balance to this beer. I think I could definitely revisit this beer again, maybe with the right food, but by itself it's really quite something.

Some grapefruit, orange, and a bunch of pine. Sort of astringent smelling and tasting. A little rough around the edges with the flavors. Tons of bitterness and tons of resin (appropriately enough), but a smooth bitterness for the ibus listed. Excellent dipa that seems to get better (aka, appeal more to me) every time I drink it
