Awesome place, great selection. Checked them out during vacation in the area, had the craziest growler fill selection forMemorial Day weekend. Westbrook Anniversary 1-4 plus Mexican Cake '15, KBS, BCBS, etc. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Nice selection, neat and organized, not the friendliest of staff, and from my limited interaction, not as knowledgeable as I would expect

Definitely a place you'll find things you won't find other stores. Plenty of stuff on tap to fill growlers, too. But because of their emphasis on quantity, many of the beers are pushing, or over, a year old. Fresh stuff is there, but you have to check to make sure that bottle hasn't been shelf-turding.

Not bad, but not worth it to me to drive 45 minutes to. Some kick butt beers but also a lot of outdated (not fresh) IPA's. Guessing doesn't come off the shelves fast enough. Did have some hard to get beers though. Nice local selection and a decent Imports section. Would stop by again only if in Greenville.

This is a unique store. It is split down the middle, one side liquor and one side beer/wine. You have to decide which route to take at the entrance. Once you are in, you have to exit to visit the other side. Pretty weird actually. If you are there for beer, heed old lady Fratelli's advice and "Stay to the right!"
I view this place as a hidden gem. From the outside (and most of the inside) this place looks like a BMC douchery. However, the craft section seemed to be untouched and was full of beers that typically sell out very quickly where I am from. I guess local beer nerds go elsewhere for the goods. Either way, this place is definitely worth a look if you are in the area.
They have a pretty nice growler station with a really impressive list. I just got a fill of Bell's Sweet Potato Stout. The fact they get non-bottled offerings from Bell's tells me they are doing something right, and I better keep an eye on them in the future.
I must say, I didn't expect any service, but I ended up talking to one of the workers about their taplist and some beer events they had scheduled. All while another employee was filling my growler. Their service was excellent.

I stopped here yesterday while visiting a friend in Greenville, SC.

I was impressed by the selection. There was a great aisle with many diverse craft beers from local brewers such as Highland Brewing out of Asheville, NC and the very local breweries from the Greenville area of Thomas Creek and RJ Rockers. I was happy to see that Bell's Brewery and New Belgium Brewing were also represented. I wish I'd had more time to browse through the craft beer selection here.

The one thing I would say was a bit disappointing was that I was not helped out by staff and when I asked if I could mix a six, I was informed that I could not and was not offered any further assistance.

The prices of the beers were very reasonable and the beer selection was very good so I would recommend this beer store if you're in Greenville.

Stop here whenever I'm in the area. It's a beer and wine place so most of the space is dedicated to wine, but what they carry is pretty solid. The place to check is in there "cellar." It's a little walk in cooler with some of the harder to find items. As far as service goes I've chatted with a couple people and took a good recommendation from one, but generally since it's not a huge area or I'm in the cooler I'm in and out without seeing anyone. Nice place to check out if you're around.

I have a tap at home so this is the only place nearby to get the smaller pony kegs and management has been very helpful in ordering kegs for me. They only keep a few in stock (blue moon, fat tire, yuengling) but can order almost anything obtainable. They have a pretty good selection that is broken up by country. The pricing is good the staff is helpful but I have only found one person working there that is knowledgeable about beer just ask for the beer guy. The store could be better if they removed some wine and added more micro brew.

Small store, small selection, but they have some real gems.

Fresh Sculpin (new labels), Sculpin growler fills for ~$14. Also had some COAST offerings (one on the growler station too). Green's has a separate cellar for Belgians and a few big stouts.

Overall good selection, I can't seem to recall the other beers that I saw (the Sculpin really threw me off), but I remember considering buying about 5 other beers.

Service is pretty good, there seems to be only 1 or 2 people that truly know their beers, the rest appeared to be general employees.

I will definitely be back to this store, specifically for my Sculpin fix and COAST growlers

The best aspect about Green's is the growler selection

This is basically just like any other Green's that you might find elsewhere. They have a decent selection of beers to go around with quite a few limited releases popping up every now and again. If you pay in cash you can get a nice little discount as well. Service here kinda sucks unless you are looking for wine, but there are one or two people there who know their beer (good luck finding them however). Overall this is a nice location to check for some harder to find brews, but I wouldn't go more than twice a month.

A nice store that has a large and varied selection of craft beer. Pop the Cap SC style has VASTLY improved things here. Everything seemed to be within date and I didnot see any questionable or dusty bottles.

Staff was friendly enough but no one went out of their way. I really didn't have any questions anyways so....

I felt they have a solid selection overall and try to get just about everything that is available in SC. Seemed good to me--but whan't blown away by finding anything "rare" or unusual. Not lcaking by any means--just not WOW!

A quality store for sure and worthy of a stop if you find yourself in town. But, this is not a destination beer store, more of a when in Greenville store.

very disappointed. i've seen the advertisements for Green's, been to their website, so i was expecting a large selection of beer. not so.
this is basically a wine and liquor store with an average selection of beer. there wasn't a whole lot of variety, the high gravity cooler was lacking in american brews, but had a decent selection of euro's. i had a hard time finding something local that i hadn't tried before, and i can't believe i've had all the SC brews. it seems terrapin is putting something new out monthly.

and since the beer is limited to one aisle, why do you hold the wine tasting in the beer section? there were 3 aisles dedicated to wine. make more sense to host it near the wine.

I was initially impressed about Green's due to the size of the building upon first seeing it. Unfortunately the beer & wine side of the store is almost overrun by wine. The beer selection is very good in both domestic and imports. The beer cooler where most of the pricey imports are kept could be a big bigger but the selection was very fair. Overall it was a very nice, clean place...very professional. The people working there weren't the most knowledgeable about beer, unfortunately. Would like to see more American micro brews there though. Still a good place to shop for most of your exotic and specialty brew needs.

Ever since South Carolina raised the cap on abv this place has continued to get better and better every week. As you walk in you come straight to a small walkin cooler that has a good selection of high gravity beers and other staples. So if your in need of something on the way somewhere check in here. Just outside the walkin there are shelves divided up by country. They have many great selections and are one of the first places to get anything new in SC. There is usually at least one person in the store at all times that knows the beer in and out.

I visited Green's a few days ago, mostly due to my love of the Atlanta location, so it was my first place to look for products not available in GA while driving through SC

The quality of beer is good - I cannot complain about what I got, which admittedly was only 3 bottles of beer. They had Bear Republic and New Holland and both were fresh. I imagine this location doesn't quite turn over beer as well as the ones in Atlanta do, but its not like some stores where a case of beer takes 6 months to sell through.

The service was surprisingly good - the ones in Atlanta tend to have friendly staff, but not necessarily helpful. A girl working there was very conversational about beer, even remarking how she used to have to go to the Green's in Atlanta for beer. She was very nice and helpful, and beer-knowledgeable staff are pretty few and far between in the Atlanta stores, so that was a pleasant surprise.

The selection is a bit above average - but probably very good for SC. They had Bear Republic which is what I was there for, but unfortunately were out of the Hop Rod Rye. The selection of germans and british beers was pretty standard, and the American micros was decent as well (most of the big names, with some good southern brews as well). The belgian selection was really lacking though, it just has not caught on, and as a huge fan of Belgian ales, I can't hype the selection too much.

Overall, lots of fresh beer at reasonable prices will keep me coming back to Green's in Greenville as long as Bear Republic is not offered in Atlanta.

This is one interesting place. It's huge. Tons of beers you don't want to look at again when you walk in but to the right there was a whole section dedicated to micros and imports. One cool thing was that if you paid cash you got a discount. I found a couple beers from Coopers that I hadn't seen elsewhere for a good price. Not the greatest selection in the world but it has a little bit of everything for any kind of drinker. In fact, there's a liquor store connected but you have to go through the door. I felt separated from a different breed because I could see the people in the liquor store through the glass wall. Alright I've drifted enough from the point. This place offers some quality stuff but not as much as you'd expect from the size of the store. Check it out.

Lived here for almost two years and this is my first stop into Green's!! Upon walking in I made the mistake of going to the Liquor side( note to self, go to the right). After finding my way I strolled right into the Micro section, which they basically direct you to, and was pleasently suprised. Very nice selection, including everything local, RJ Rockers, Thomas Creek, Terrapins, Duck Rabbits, Palmettos, etc. Also, for the first time in SC so Victory! Now we are under a cap(6%) so there was Prima Pils and Hefe. But damn, not bad. Impressive overall selection for a SC store. Further down the wall I ran into the import section which was chock full of goodies, some bottle aged, lots of germans and english brews, very nice. Cold fridge was basically macro's and some micro six packs. Big dissapointment that there was not a singles wall or section. Overall this was a very nice store, if we get the cap raised it will be off the hook!

I did not have much time to look around but I did see quite a few micros. This place is easy to spot off 385 but actually finding it is another story. I ended up going through a mall parking lot to get here. And as someone earlier stated, the doors are hard to understand. Two sets of doors. You go in the first and the second set is coming out. So you have to swith over to the other set. So I too looked like an idiot trying to enter through a one way exit.
The beer slection was very good, with the beer and liqour sides being seperate. There was a long cooler along the wall with about half micro and half macro. Most selection is warm. I ended up with a bottle of Sam Adams Chocolate Bock for $12.99 which is several dollars cheaper than I have seen it. The staff were freindly and helpfull. I would stop in here again sometime. Too bad SC law lets them sell Everclear under the same roof where only 6% beer can be. This place has lots of potential if the cap gets lifted.

I often visit this location on my many trips to Greenville. The rather small store is located between Haywood Mall and I-385 on Congaree Road. Parking can be a problem during busy times like Friday afternoon. Prices are good but not great. I have noticed that the Green's in Columbia near Harbison has lower prices and a better selection probably due to the Total Wine store less than a mile away. Selection is probably the best in the upstate but can be hit or miss at times. Local brews (Thomas Creek, Palmetto, etc.) are readily available which is a plus. I down graded the service since they have a dual pricing structure. Whip out your credit card and you will pay a 2-3% upcharge.

This is a huge beer and liquor store. I had a bit of trouble actually walking in to the establishment. Every other door is locked and every other door says "Use other door". So after 2 minutes of looking like an idiot, I finally fell upon a small Mecca of beer in SC. Nobody asked me if I needed assistance but I didnt need assistance anyway. Huge selection of beer. Only downside is that most of the good stuff is warm so immediate consumption is not likely. All macros and typical imports and crafts as well as a good selection of 22oz and 1pint .9oz were in the cooler. I purchased some Thomas Creek which is a local brewery. Also purchased growlers of Rogue Dead Guy for $8.48 which is the cheapest I have seen anywhere by 3 dollars. Age of beer may be in question but it was a good price. Great selection for SC. Many selections I havent seen in NC either so I will definitely be back on my next trip to Greenville in another month. Bought a Welsh beer as well. Dubbed the national beer of Welch.

Greens is located on Congaree just beside the mall, but Congaree deadends currently before you get to the road that connects to 385, so it is a bit of a PITA to access if you aren't coming in from the West.

The store offers a small but nice selection of both craft brews and some of the more interesting beers that fall within the 5% ABW limit currently imposed upon the good folks in the State of South Carolina.

There are two long shelves of warm sixers and then a small cold case of 1/2 BMC and the rest craft offering. Not the best selection ever, but perhaps the best in Greenville, SC. I'd drop back into Green's although the pricing is not the best and the selection could be improved upon.

Ahhh, Green's. Whenever we visit South Carolina, which is probably three times per year, or so, this place is a must stop. Not only is their beer selection volumnous, but they also have a niche in that they sell single bottles of some of the more rare items, including imports. But make no mistake about it, they have their fair share of local micros as well. The staff is relatively attentive if not overly knowledgable, and the quality of the product is rarely if ever a question. Connected to Green's Beer is a loquor store which also carries a solid delection of wines and spirits. When in Downtown Greenville, this is without question THE place to stop for all of your beer itchings.
