Stopped in last night with Acme, looked to be the main craft source in town.

Free-standing building with ample parking, corner entrance with a Big Muddy sign in the window that was promising. The store was clean and well lit, no dust on anything. We were greeted by the staff, and checked out the beer coolers. There was one cooler on the left that had some new seasonals like Lagunitas Sucks and Two Bros Night Cat in with some random stuff. The coolers along the back wall had quite a few doors (12 or so) maybe half craft.

The real surprise here was the warm shelf, it was opposite the coolers and all craft, at least 250 brands in all. Full lines of Founders, Lagunitas, Bells, Firestone Walker, NB Lips of Faith, and more. Maine Beer Co. MO on the shelf, Orval, Courage Russian Imperial Stout, obscure barrel-aged Two Bros, Grand Teton, and Ft. Collins beers. Some German and Belgian imports, but the majority was American craft. Breweries were grouped together and the selection was easy to navigate. The only knock to quality were a few 1 year-old bottles of Wookey Jack on the shelf. Prices were fair on everything.

The lady at the register was friendly and there was a sweet German shepherd lounging behind the counter. No problems whatsoever with the staff...

Thanks to Kmpitz2 for the tip on this place.

Nice little liquor store with a good selection. There is one beer snob that works there, but the rest of the employees drink good beer and will help with recommendations. Not a good selection of foreign beers, but they have a good selection of microbrew beers from the states. Priced well compared to other places I've been to.

Stopped in this fine establishment today before catching a flight back to good old Kentucky after a brief holiday with the parents. They recently moved into the new location, whcih affords them much more space. As you walk in, you immediately see a wooden shelving unit that houses some of the import, Aventinus, Duvel, Chimay, Ayinger, and micro brew beers. turning down the aisle that ends into the shelving case, there are more American micros such as Three Floyds, Bell's, Pyramid, Two Brothers, Rogue. There is a small refrigerated case housing the same beers that are on display, but with a very small number available as a single bottle. The staff have always been very nice to me, but I don't think they can provide much in the way of knowledge about the micros they have. As far as things go, for my former home town, this is pretty damn nice. I haven't found a better selection at a store within about 10 miles of my folks place.
