Two good buddies of mine and I took a ride out to this fine establishment this past Saturday to meet Jay (quasimoto), who is the assistant brewmaster there. Our main reason for going was to purchase a 6 pack of the Dog Fish Head World Wide Stout from him that he had acquired from out of state. This beer is illegal to sell in Ohio due to its 18% ABV content. He sold it to us for a very reasonable price and I doubt he made much if any profit from the transaction. Thanks for the hook up Jay!

When we walked into the establishment the first thing that caught my eye was that there was an IBU listing for all the different beers ( 8 in total) available on tap. First time I have ever seen that. There was a nice, diverse selection and all the beers available are brewed on site in the back part of the building. You can get growlers filled to go as well. It was quite busy inside when we arrived. It is all brick inside and there are two big plasma screen TV's. Besides the bar there are somewhere between a dozen and twenty tables you can sit at. Looking at the prices of the beer, and the price to get a growler filled, it was quite reasonaly priced indeed. I thought the food was a little expensive. My friends and I didn't have any food until our second trip out there. The food is good, but nothing extraordinary. They have good pub grub such as fries, soup, potato skins, and pretzels, as well as actual meals. My friends and I all got pub grub. The beers brewed here are all quite good indeed, but nothing exceptional. However I do think that their Christmas Ale is better than Great Lakes'.

Shortly after arriving we asked to talk to Jay and as it turned out he was standing almost right next to me. After exchanging greetings he took us in the back where he works, brewing the beer and immediately offered all of us a very generous sample of this year's batch of the pumpkin ale, unfiltered and not even available on tap in the bar yet at the time. Even though the 3 of us had just met him he treated us like old friends, just talking with us about our mutual love of craft and micro beers. He gave us a tour of the brewery area and explained the brewing process to us as he went from one piece of brewing equipment to the other in order that they are used in the brewing process. If you decide to take a trip out there I suggest beermailing him in advance and telling him when you'll be heading out there. If he isn't too busy I bet he'll be happy to take some out some time to just kick back and talk beer with you during your visit.

Had a chance to drop by this place on a recent trip to Cleveland. It's got a nice warm feel to it, bar an open kitchen with a good amount of sports fans watching the Cavs as well as families enjoying a nice dinner.

The beers and food were both above average. I could see coming for just the food and being pleased. The beer hits the spot with a small range of styles, but Cleveland has better to offer, so this might be a one-time trip if that is your only reason for going.

Service was solid if slightly overwhelmed. Nothing took too long and the wait staff was happy and friendly.

As mentioned above, decent selection of beers and it seems like they rotate a couple taps seasonally. Food menu is one page but manages to cover several bases. All the food I had was quite tasty.

Not a bad place with decent food. Service is usually good but the beer leaves a lot to be desired. Limited offerings, no guest beers and average quality craft beer. Great patio but not a go to for me. With Fat Heads and The Brew Kettle within 15 miles its not normally on my radar.

I was working in the area and rolled into the CBC late one weekday afternoon. I was very impressed with the appearance and detail of the place; it's situated in a very attractive building Berea's central business district. I started with the '7' IPA, which has that great initial hops rush, full body and pleasing finish. I could sip that one all day. I also had the Pilsener they had on which was a very appropriate for a hot summer afternoon. I ordered a salad off the menu and was very pleased with that as well, in quality, content and presentation. Good place to which I'd readily return.

What I liked about this place: convenience to airport; good accoustics so that you can hold a conversation without shouting; well lit; mid sized yet lots of seating available including at bar, andat lunchtime; and very decent beer though nothing extreme. My favourite beer was a fruit beer with real fruit an higher abv (6.7%) than the rest of the more sessionable choices. A passable homemade root beer. Nice tables and chairs, very good service.
Want some guest taps, and a little extreme seasonal.

A: a nice, small and somewhat cozy little place. The whole area is open and you can see the kitchen area while you are sitting. A nice sized bar for a small place and a number or tables in the main seating area. THey have a little patio out front that I have yet to sit in, but it looks like it would be nice on a warm spring or summer night.

Q: Food and beer are both good quality. I haven't had anything spectacular here, but I am always happy to come back. The food is mostly good bar food, burgers, pizzas, some nice entrees like fish and steak. The beer has improved over the last few years I feel.

S: About average. It is a relatively small place and sometimes not too many customers in it, at least at some of the times I have been there. Since it isn't a huge place, they don't have a huge staff, not usually a problem, but it seems like sometimes there can be a lot going on for the small staff.

S: Food selection is average, but I feel the beer selection is above average. They don't have a very big menu, but it is full of a lot of above average to good choices. The buffalo chicken rolls(appetizer) are very god. I have had 2 pizzas that were both very good. The beer selection I feel has grown over the years in variety and quality. They have three beers that are always on tap, one lighter lager, a marzen, and their IPA. Tonight they have these three beers and six other beers available. A variety of styles, and more lagers than I am used to seeing at a place like this, which is nice. None of the beers are mindblowing, but many are above average and something that I wish I could drink on a more regular basis.

F: Not the largest menu, but many solid offerings. Many burgers, sandwiches, about 5-6 pizzas(the buffalo chicken and western are both pretty good). Maybe 7-8 entree inner selections.

V: Pretty good, especially at happy hour, Reasonable to good prices on beer-under $4 a pint most of the time, especially at happy hour, and they have a larger size that is nice and cheap at happy hour too i Believe. Food is a good value in the quality vs. price area.
