Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 3/2018. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky tan head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roast coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, and toasted dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, char, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of raspberries, dark/black/roast/bready malts, coffee, vanilla, lactose, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roast coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, and toasted dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, char, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light roast/char, herbal/spicy hop bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roast coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toasted dark/brown bread, light smoke/char, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, dark/black/roast/bready malts, coffee, vanilla, lactose, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance and fruit tartness balance; with zero cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness and fruit tang/tartness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky/tangy/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.6%. Overall this is an excellent fruited milk stout. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, dark/black/roast/bready malts, coffee, vanilla, lactose, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/tart/drying finish. Very rich and complex for the ABV, and very well balanced between all flavors. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Brewer's notes: "What do you get when you infuse raspberrys and coffee beans into a rich milk stout beer - a Raspberry Latte Stout of course! This dark brew is a combination of deep roasted coffee, a rich milk stout and raspberries to top it off. The locally roasted coffee beans are from the Iowa Coffee Roasters and are roasted right up the road from Millstream Brewery in Cedar Rapids. After using 25 pounds of coffee beans to create the roasty character, it is then fermented with 170 pounds of raspberrypuree to add a touch of unique flavor to this smooth brew.
MALTS: 2 Row Brewers, Wheat, Chocolate, Munich 20L, Black, Roasted, Special Roasted
HOPS: Millennium, Mt. Hood
GOODIES: Locally roasted coffee beans, Raspberry puree
ABV: 7.6%
IBU's: 50
O.G.: 20.4 Plato
F.G.: 6.8 Plato"

Poured from 12oz bottle into glass. Best by date is marked at the month of February.
Very dark, opaque body, tan head settles to thin cap, minor lacing.
Aroma has raspberry, coffee, dark roasted malt, chocolate/vanilla.
Taste has raspberry (not too sweet), coffee, lactose and dark malt (milk stout), and range of chocolate from darker to milk.
Medium creamy mouth feel. Raspberry makes it more tart, with enamel cleaning.
Good after dinner beer, but most likely will stop at one bottle per session.

Very dark brown, almost black colour. Bitter hop nose, cacao nib, and rich velvety espresso nose with a slight jamminess underneath. Tastes rich and dark chocolatey, smooth body overall and slight raspberry twang to it; tastes reminiscent of a raspberry chocolate bar with an espresso. Dutch cocoa finish.

Pours a mocha colored head with a off violet body.

Smells of coffee, chocolate, hints of raspberry, subtle creamy vanilla, roasted malts

Taste is surprisingly pleasant for me. Chocolate, coffee, and bits and pieces of raspberry blend in nicely. Not overly sweet like most raspberry beers I've had. Hats off to you millstream

Millstream Raspberry Latte Stout on tap, 7.6% ABV, 50 IBU. Raspberry nose, and almost overpowering raspberry taste - but it works for me. Not very bitter. I like it a lot, so onto my favorites list it goes.

Re-reviewing this one.

Dark chocolate brown with a beige head of 2 fingers.

Smells of raspberry dark chocolate bar, with raspberry sorbet, coffee, and light earth.

Nice dark chocolate raspberry flavors, raspberry-coffee fluff; complete with raspberry syrup and sorbet respectively in loudness, with a huge earthiness and a java finish. Slight fakiness in the raspberry, but it's not overwhelming.

Feel is medium to full bodied, buzzing carb on the tongue, and a nice dry, coffee finish.

Not a bad stout at all. Much better than when I had it on tap the first time around. This beer is a lot like a chocolate covered raspberry "orange" in the tinfoil wrapper.

Millstream Raspberry Latte Stout. Brewed and bottled by Millstream Brewing Company, Amana, Iowa. Raspberry Ale.

Appearance: Solid darkness, slim tanned head. Looking alright.

Aroma: Raspberry notes hit right away. Chocolate rises up and fairly swallows it, swiftly. Raspberry, chocolate and cream. Awfully nice.

Taste: Well, raspberry's there, and it's a stout. Smooth and creamy. Sweet and bitter. Fullish bodied, light, malty finish. The charms wear off soon, though. This one doesn't do much for me. It's okay, it's got flavor, but lacks the necessary thing that puts it beyond the mundane. Not that I'm saying it's mundane.

One more thing: I get the goofy latte-clutching raspberry, but, why, oh, why, does it have only one eyelash?

while there was a TON of raspberry to this one I got too much fake raspberry flavor that masked the coffee/ latte flavor I could only smell. fun and unique beer, but meh.
