poured 12oz bottle into pint glass.

A- classic lager appearance with a golden honey wheat hue. not much of a head with minimal lacing down the glass

S- light grainy smells. little hops and malts with a hint of citric hidden therein

T- enjoyed the taste. pretty simple hop taste with no bitterness. fairly smooth with a bit of sweetness on the end

M- very smooth on the palate. really like the balance of carbonation and medium body in the mouth. probably the best part of this beer

D- overall not a bad lager. really good thirst quencher for these summer nashville evenings. would buy again for the price point

App. True gold. Perfect clarity. Decent head.

Smell. Sweet malt with a strong biscuit presence. Fruity hop aroma.

Taste. A slightly sweet but dry, flat malt. A bit of a bite from the hops and carbonation. Very minimal bitterness but I wasn't expecting much because the bottle said 18 ibu's.

Flat mouthfeel. I've been very disappointed by these trader Joe beers.

Basically a relabeled Gordon Beirsch, 12 oz bottle pours straw color with really foamy head, even some lacings.

Smell is pretty mild compared to Budvar or Urquell but some saaz hop aroma is noticable along with a slightly malty base. Light mouthfeel with very light carbonation, taste is fairly typical of this style but missing some of the kick of true Czech flavor, a bit weak in both malt and hop flavor. Even though there are better alternative this one rates high on drinkabilty and the price is awesome at $4.99 6pack. I always pick up a 6 pack when I go the TJ's, a good session brew.

A: Hazy corn, almost a light copper. Lingering head that disipates into a sedimented lacing.

S: Rye and citrus, with hints of crystal malt and corriander.

T: Lemon and citrus up front, with a hint of under ripe banana. As it warms up the grain and rye become more prevalent.

M: Light and crisp, like a bohemian lager should taste. Adequately carbonated for the style.

O: I think this is a good solid example of the style. Not the best, not the worst. Taste and aroma get more complex as the beer approaches room temperature. Sessionable to be sure.

"Its good beer, just not great beer"
-My Dad

Pours the typical pilsner golden straw color with a frothy white head. Clarity is nice. Head holds on for a little bit.

Not much in the smell department, some light malts.

A touch metallic but also rather malty. Bitterness comes in with the prickly carbonation but not as bitter as a pilsner should be. This is not hoppy or spicy at all, but it is pleasant.

Mouthfeel is nice, highly drinkable average, cheap craft beer.

From a bottle, pours a clear gold with a white head. Essentially no aroma. Taste is hops-forward with pronounced carbonation. There are sweet malt with some grass and corn flavors. It manages to be inoffensive, but it is entirely forgettable.

Caramel and adjunct rich Czech Pils... look out for 'clumps' :o

A: Very clear goldenrod body with a fleeting, off white, sudsy, two finger head. Unappealing small 'clumps' formed in the head, persisting for quite a while, leaving me to believe they were particulate in nature when they were apparently not.

S: Dry pils biscuit with some diacetyl, a very light spicy hop edge, and a dose of corn adjunct and metal.

T: Fairly big caramel malt and pils style hops, but also fairly big on adjunct and metal. Best in large gulps.

M: A bit watery, but not bad.

D: Metallic finish and 'clumps' make it a "no" for me.

poured from a 12oz bottle into a standard pint glass.

A: light gold color. very clear and translucent. one finger white head, no lacing

S: mix of spicy hops and malt.

T: good balance of the malts and hops. you get a grainy malt flavor at first, followed by some spiciness from the hops.

MF: light bodied, moderately high carbonation. crisp feel.

Drinkability: decent beer. once again, Trader Joes does it again with a quality beer for the price.

The Trader Joes' Vienna Lager was okay enough to trick me into trying the Bohemian.

Few bubbles, little head. An obscene shade of transparent yellow.

First thing I noticed was the metallic smell and taste. Perhaps leaving the beer at room temperature makes it eat some of the bottle cap. Once I was desensitized to the metal, I could smell a light buttery carmel and a bit o' yeast (which gets better as the beer gets warmer).

The non-aromatic hops and the graininess aren't complimentary. The bottle says it's best consumed before 2/24/12, but it already tastes old.

I'm glad I didn't have to buy an entire 6-pack in order to try this beer.

I'm definitely going to have to disagree with some of the harsh ratings here, this deserves way more than a 73/100
At $6.99 a 6 pack... this is incredibly reasonably priced, good quality beer.

Look: Pours a beautiful, clear and golden yellow color with a two finger, eggshell colored head.

Aroma: Moderately toasted, sweet bready caramel malt and floral hops.

Taste: Bready with notes of caramel apples and vanilla. Spicy and floral midpalate with sweet notes of graham crackers and moderately bitter, dry, grassy hops. Aftertaste is really superb and pronounced with even more toasted notes of dry, creamy, floral grains with hints of banana/bubblegum from the yeast.

Feel: Light carbonation, medium body. Vaguely creamy but not overtly viscous.

Comments: A most excellent beer. Bittersweet, dry, floral, creamy and spicy with a delicate yeasty aftertaste. Very refreshing.

This one poured well as far as the head goes. Good height and lacing but the color, a light gold, was lighter than most beers that I prefer so that was a bad sign for me.

The smell screams lager. It is in your face, just so you know what you are about to drink. The only other aroma I got from this one was straw.

The taste of butter hits you like a sledge. A light, sweet brew that felt like a buttery chardonnay, coating my mouth like I had introduced a spoonful of Blue Bonnet. I like a good chardonnay, but not when I'm expecting a beer. I had a hard time getting through this beer and can't see me willingly buying this one again.

Poured form a 12oz bottle into a pilsner flute, good clear golden color – typical of a Czech-style pilsner. Rocky white head that dissipated a bit too fast. Nose is grainy, dominated by malts but some delicate hop banana-like notes. Taste is decent, of good sourdough, but week. Gives the mouth a metallic feel and is slightly parching. Nonetheless, good value and an option for mass consumption by an audience accustomed to bottom-fermenters.

Purchased for about a $1 per bottle at Trader Joe's, Maple Grove, MN.
Very clear yellow pour, minimal head.
Smells stinky, like Heinekin. I guess the maltiness would grow on some people. Tastes like Heineken, but with less aftertaste.
A bit nutty, then finishes clear.

Nothing special, so I won't buy it again.

pours golden yellow with quick dissipating white head. Pretty much no smell on this one. Not too sweet and a hint of some maltiness. A strong apple flavor that almost gives it a apple juice flavor. Light and drinkable . overall an ok beer but I probably wouldn't buy it again.

Pours a deep golden color with somewhat large off white head, lacing is also present. Nice looking beer.

A pretty non descript smell slightly metallic and maybe a hint of hops.

The taste is pretty thin for a pilsner. Not much to speak of in the way of malt. A light hop bite in the finish along with a metallic taste. The finish is fairly dry and clean.

A fine light carbonation suits this beer well and improves the drinkability. Almost any beer this dry is gonna be drinkable.

This is a fairly average to below average pilsner. It is a bit light on the hops and malt for my taste for the style.

color is like goldenrod wit ha large bubbly head. the nose is sweet with distinct honey notes. very enticing. the taste begins with the same honey-like malt then a slight grassy and citrus rind hop edge with a semi-dry finish. smooth and pleasant, perhaps a bit sweet. i think very nice for the style, except again perhaps too tame on hop presence to balance sweetness.

Poured out to a nice light amber-straw with a decent head that subsides quickly. The smell is pretty malty, a bit heavier than expected in a lager.

The taste is closer to an ale than a lager, since the maltiness really shines through. I was pretty surprised at the taste, since I would not classify this as a lager at all.

The mouthfeel is just right, not too watery or too carbonated.

The drinkability of this beer is pretty good, as well. However, just remember, this is much more like an ale than a lager.

Yeah, I've had Czech Pilsners much better then this. I would say this is allright, seems to have the bases covered but no, no, no complexity. I got some grassy malts, some corn, but I couldn't find any hop profile in this.

Overall, I could easily drink this, but the only reason I wouldn't get it again is because there are much better beers available in this category.

pours a golden honey color, similar to PU.

taste-- first thing i notice is, where's the carbonation? in many pilsners there is a pretty biting carbonation that I really enjoy. I know beers like budvar are on the softer side, but i expected a bit more carbonation bite.

The next sensation is a a flat, sweet malt, but unfortunately that recedes quite quickly and you don't get too much malt flavor. What you do get is a flabby, almost skunky aftertaste where beautiful, crisp saaz hops should be.

after the first sip i almost dumped it down the drain. i held onto it for a bit longer to take a few more sips for the review, but this one just isn't that great. a step up from bud, a bit too close to heineken for my liking. it's not 100% skunk aftertaste like heineken, but the bit of hop flavor definitely seems to be fighting against a somewhat metallic and offputting aftertaste.

Strike 1 for this brew. Not really worth drinking in my opinion. Not completely offensive, but I'd rather spend the extra buck and get a good lager at TJs. Good thing this was just a single.

12 ounce bottle with an indecipherable batch number. Website doesn't let me look it up. Whatever though. $1 single? Let's go.

Slightly hazy golden yellow with a thin bright white covering. No head or lacing. Sigh.

Smells a not-so-enticing sweet pale malt and grassy, noble hop extract. I'd be almost stretching it to say there's a floral character to it...but it's barely there. Also has that adjunct-lager smell...

Taste is sweet and slighty grainy malt, bland spicy hop character with a dry and husky finish. Stumbles back and forth across the line that divides a pilsner and an adjunct lager. Definitely crisp. Refreshing? Not so much.

One and done son. And it's a pilsner? Damn. Whoever took that picture of the bottle on top of that beige carpet could have just taken a picture of the beige carpet and I'd completely understand.

Purchased with some wine from TJs in Framingham, MA... knew about their wine, but not the beer. I like their wine, and since I was in the area down from Nashua I couldn't leave without this...

Bottle has a batch number, but no clue how this translates into a born on or expiration date. Sigh..

Straw and very clear in appearance, pours with little head to my surprise. Does lace around the glass, and floats islands of head which stick around for consumption of 1/3 of the glass . Not much in the way of visible bubbles...

Smells like pilsener and carapils malt, like a sweet mash and a tiny hint of apple. Faint hops, noble of some type but not strong enough to say which.

Taste has a strong cider bite, both up front and in the quick finish. The cider bite overlaps with the CO2 bite making it pretty strong in nature. The bite overpowers the rest of the taste which is a let down. This doesn't kill the beer, but it drags down all the other nice things about the brew. Instead of finishing with faint noble hops, this finishes with a green apple bite. Yuck.

Feels like like this could use more carbonation, providing the cider snap was tamed. This just doesn't feel like a pilsener.

Drinkable? Barely. I'll drink another, and keep alive the hope that maybe the first bottle was old or mistreated, and the rest maybe are better..

golden yellow with a quick one finger head that fades pretty quickly to a couple of clumps on the surface. Dont smell much, some bitter from the hops, light malt smell. Tastes dry bitter, corn and some sweet flavors roll around. Nice hop zing that sits around on the back of my toungue and roof of my mouth. Mouthfeel is full with good carbonation that fades in the mouth but picks back up in my stomach. Its ok. Wont be chomping at the bit to get another sixer but its drinkable. At the same price as any other big american beer label it is a value for the taste.

This beer pours with a fairly deep golden color. A very wet and frothy looking head recedes quite fast. Heavy notes of honey and pear in the aroma give way to a hint of peach. Super crisp and clean taste with no hop presence. The honey notes come crawling back for the very end of the finish. Overall, not a bad beer for the price.

Roommate brought a few of these home so I figured what the hey, let's review it!

Two finger offwhite foamy head on a straight pour. Crystal clear golden body.

I get grainy malts, specifically wheat and corn. Not much in the way of hop presence.

Corn and wheat malts. Not much bittering or balance. Blah. I suppose it's better than Bud or Miller.

Light body with a bit of carbonation.

Drinkability/Overall Impression
Goes down easy. So does water. Pretty bad representation of this style.

Appearance - Beautiful light gold, perfect carbonation look.
Smell - Not much there.
Taste - Not bad. It's lacking a little of the crispness I expect from a Bohemian Pils - perhaps it's under bittered or maybe the Pilsner malt graininess is missing. It tastes good, but it's not quite in good Bo Pils territory.
Mouthfeel - More as expected, with decent carbonation and some bitterness.
Drinkability - Overall a decent beer. Not great, but it beets most other beers I can purchase for $5.99 / sixer.
