Brewed by JosephsBrau in San Jose, marked best by 12/30/17. Pours black with a finger of tan head. Smells of caramel malts. Slightly syrupy feel with good carbonation. Tastes of chocolate, malt, and finishes with a touch of bitterness. A good oatmeal stout and great value at $6/6-pack.

Doesn't deserve to call itself a stout. Has the consistency of seltzer water.

Pours almost pitch black with a tan, foamy head. This beer smells like damp bark and dark cherries, a sweet richness that is matched with a taste of deep pomegranate, dark chocolate, and maybe a little whiskey. Surprisingly good for a budget grocery store brand beer.

Pours dark dark totally black. Good aroma and a decent balance of oatmeal. Definitely a worthy oatmeal stout to add to your collection. Given as a gift no idea it was a Trader Joes brand.

Excellent black pour, sturdy thickness, impressive 3/4" beige/tan head, above average retention. Aroma was roasted chocolate malt and coffee from the malt notes.

Taste, chewy roast, oats chill the bitterness out. Not overly thick or heavy, good use of oats here. Is this Goose Island Oatmeal Stout? Wouldn't be surprised if it was. They always contract brew this stuff, could see it coming from there.

Dark brown tan head. Splotches of lace.
Smell is rich dark malts some molasses and a hint of dark chocolate.
Taste is similar to the nose with a touch of bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium with ample carbonation. Finish is bittersweet and lightly dry.
Overall a nice smooth brew that is well made.

Wow! This is a great, nicely priced, oatmeal stout. I think it is as good as any I have had. I have had a few. Believe me.
