This is another in a slew of very pretty IPAs I've been drinking lately. Amber body, pillowy off white head, good retention, good lacing.

Up front I get... Something kind of abrasive, but I can't quite put my finger on it. There's a caramel juiciness hiding behind... whatever it is, as well as some citrus hops.

The undetermined -- is that what they are talking about when they say it smells like cat pee (I don't have cats...)? -- does not continue into the taste, where the caramel undertone and juicy tropical fruits take more of a front seat. Towards the back end it gets a steeper bitterness, maybe some pine, but still a lot of citrus.

Very smoothe and drinkable. Good carbonation, I wouldn't describe it as sweet per se, but it is very soft and easy drinking, despite the definite hop bitterness on the finish. Certainly a viable IPA that I would gladly drink again, but I'm VERY glad I picked it up in Portland at literally half the price for a six pack as what it costs in St Louis.

Caldera IPA has a thick, creamy, slightly off-white head, a mostly clear, orange appearance, with powdery white sediment suspended throughout, and lots of lacing left behind. The aroma is of very pronounced, piney hops and rich, sweet white bread. Taste is of the same, with an strong, but not overwhelming bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, somewhat slick, and a bit prickly. Caldera IPA finishes mostly dry, easy drinking, and not the least bit alcohilic. Overall, this is outstanding.

Can > Tulip Glass

A - Poured out a cloudy amber color with a finger of fluffy khaki head, some mild lacing
S - Very grassy, earthy, a little citrus zest
T - Unbearable amount of diacetyl, completely repulsive, its unreal to thing this thing would ever have been produced. It took me all I had to finish half of this thing. I couldnt even tell any other flavor at how much buttery gross flavor this thing had.
M - Oily and slick, coats your palate.
O - This thing is an outright joke, I would have liked to tried it without the palate-obliterating level of diacetyl, because it might have been ok, but this one was totally drain-worthy.
