Tier one store so they get all the limited and new to market beers you are looking for with an already large and ever growing selection of year round and seasonal beers from around the world.

One of the top two bottle shops in Grand Rapids. The owner is super friendly, and the store carries an excellent selection of local, national, and foreign beers. However, Rishi's prices are about a dollar higher per bomber or six-pack than the other stores. Until more discounts are offered, I'll continue to start my beer hunt in the other places.

I went there today for the first time and I'd say it was a pleasant experience. Friendly atmosphere and nice employees who are helpful with any questions. They have a nice selection of a lot of things, i found a popular Japanese beer that I couldn't find anywhere else, among other beers I have never heard of.

Their pricing though, seemed a bit high. Like other reviews stated, and I was prepared for, paying a little extra than I could elsewhere if I could find some of the same things.

But overall, because of their large selection, and friendly and seemingly knowledgeable staff (only one visit so far and judging from my interactions today) this place is nice. Just be prepared to spend a little or a bit more than elsewhere.

I've been in to Rishi's more than a few times, being that I live about 20 minutes away. While the selection is great, the pricing is far from it. The markup here compared to other stores is typically 15%+.

Today was honestly the first time I've been in there and actually found what I came for (Short's Batch 5000). I actually called the store after another BA clued me in to them having the beer in stock, and was told "we don't have any yet, but we should shortly." Interesting, because said BA's Wife had just left with bottles of Batch 5000 prior to me calling Rishi's.

I was told $22 for that bottle (so I could only assume my other 2 bottles brought the total to $38). After returning home, I learned that the $22 bottle actually cost me $25. Mind you, Rishi is the one who told me this, not one of his employees.

The majority of the beer in here has no pricing on it, so be prepared for a shock at the register. The service is always friendly and helpful, but for the prices they charge, that should be expected.

I'd definitely stop in here more if they were more fair with their pricing, and also more upfront/honest about what they have.

I'm don't even live on this side of the state where this store is although I do make visits often. This is the BEST store in the state in my opinion. Nevermind the amazing selection of beers from all of the US, the wall of liquor and the section of wines is top notch. Craft kegs are always in stock in the cooler too. Rishi's allows you to take a single 12 oz from anywhere in the store, not just the singles section. The service is top notch. Rishi and his staff are always greeting you as you walk in the door, are eager to make suggestions and thanks you for your business. Great selection of meads too. I'm always glad to make a visit to this store. You won't be disappointed.

Phenomenal selection. Great music playing in store. Very friendly and knowledgable staff. Downside is individual beers are not labeled with a price so it's a surprise when you check out. Overall great place to buy your beer and liquor. I wouldn't have found this gem without beer advocate app.... Just sayin

Rashi is very friendly and helpful as well as very knowledgeable of his beers and what is current and going on in the craft beer world as well as very knowledgeable of his wines. Will always welcome when you walk in no matter what the Grand Rapids winter may throw at you. If he doesnt have something he will let you know if he can get it or if it is even distributed in Michigan. I became one of his regulars and will miss that now that I had to move away to Seattle. The beer selection is large, as he is expanding to a larger space in Jan. 2014. Go here if you are in the Grand Rapids area, you wont be let down.

Overwhelming at first, the owner (Rishti) helped me navigate the selection and helped me find the perfect mix pack. Also, I'm lost with wine and he helped me pick out a bottle that blew my family away! Huge selection of all kinds of alcohol - Beer selection was very cool. I can highly recomend Rishti and International Beverage. Plus, Getting great leads on FB that I haven't been able to find around anywhere else - Thanks Rishti - look forward to returning!

Overall the selection was quite nice and the staff behind the counter seemed knowledgeable about their products. My major complaint with this store is the outrageous mark-up on nearly most of their products. I completely understand why retail centers mark-up, but to pay $15 for a six pack of Short's in G.R. is a little out of control. To add to this complaint it seemed that the only craft beer that was priced with a label were 22oz and up selections. All of the 12oz selections were not priced, to find it you have to ask or be shocked when they scan it at the counter.

Living in G.R. I don't thing I will return to this establishment being that there are many other great bottle shops in the city that run their businesses with a bit more integrity. A 50% mark-up seems unethical to me personally.

Stopped into this place on a getaway with the wife to Michigan. Its a small store and you can feel a little cramped when looking through all of the beer that they have because it feels like the aisles are smaller than normal.

Other than that, everything was great. Rishi knows a ton about good beer and as soon as I asked a question about beer he came out from behind the cashiers desk, shook my hand as well as my wifes, introduced himself and helped me look throughout the store.

Selection was very strong, very impressed with their collection of Southern tier brews, belgian imports, and other imports. Because the place is becoming well known I think all of the "whales" fly out of there quickly, so there was no chance to find a hidden gem or anything like that, but I was very pleased with his knowledge and the selection. Everything seemed very well priced as well.

The customer service experience from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out makes you want to come back. I love the guys here at the East Paris location. There is another over on Cascade a couple of miles away. More testament to their success as a beer/liqour store.

They have great knowledge of beers and wines. They also sell liqour and cigars of various kinds. Their biggest focus is on the beer and wine. For the most part, they have a great selection including some hard to find beers. If you name one that they don't have, they'll do their best to try and track it down for you.

Rishi and his crew are fit for the task of giving you great advice, recommendations and more. The only thing they could probably do more is to include home brewing information/start up materials.

Great store!

another late review...I visited the shop on Thanksgiving weekend 2011 while visiting family in Grand Rapids.

We rolled over to the shop mainly to pick out a selection of stouts for my sister-in-law to try out (she is new to bigger beers). We found a great selection of Michigan beers (coming from Georgia, it was nice to see Short's and New Holland) and many other good domestics (i didn't really get a chance to check out the Euro selection)...basically the perfect scenario for someone who wanted to try a bunch of new beers. We built a few six packs and grabbed a few bombers and then struck up a conversation with Rishi.

Needless to say, Rishi knows his beer! Above all, getting to chat with Rishi about availability and recommendations is what really made this trip worth while. I look forward to another visit the next time i am in Grand Rapids.

Visited on a quiet Sunday afternoon in October 2011.

Atmosphere: attractive layout, wine and spirits at the front, beer in the back. We were the only ones in the store so I had plenty of room to move around and browse.

Service: at first the clerk seemed a bit indifferent; however, after we chatted for a while he dug out some fresh Centennial IPA for me and recommended a couple Michigan lagers for my girlfriend's dad (it was his birthday).

Selection: comparable to Siciliano's and larger than most stores that I've come across in the Great Lakes region. I grabbed bottles of Bell's Pale Ale, Oarsman, Lager Beer, and Octoberfest, Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter, Founders Curmudgeon and Pale Ale, Shiner Bock, North Coast Brother Thelonious, and Ommegang Three Philosophers, among many other beers. A half-case of singles and two 6-packs came to $48, which is reasonable in my books.

Overall: a great alternative to the competition with very fair prices. Picked up a few gems that I couldn't find elsewhere and left for Graydon's a happy camper. Check this place out.

International Beverage is one of my regular stops anytime I'm out beer shopping. I have yet to find a store around Grand Rapids with a more knowledgeable and helpful staff. These guys love talking about beer and are happy to help you find what you're looking for or anything else you might like. They strike a great balance between good prices and good selection. Any six pack (or four pack) on the shelves can be broken up and sold as singles if you are interested in trying something but don't want to commit to the whole pack. Highly recommended.

Great selection of Michigan beers, the best I have seen in the western part of the state. Most everything is available as a single. Prices were $1.99 to $2.49 for typical 12 oz singles, but great to be able to taste more of the variety when you're just traveling through.

Good selection of regional and well-known breweries from all over the country. Surprising variety of Colorado bombers and Southern Tier, for instance. Belgians and many others. While most of the less-ordinary beers are not cold, they seem to be cool enough. The popularity of the place may keep the turnover going and the beers fresh.

Service is about as good as it gets. Friendly inquiry if you need any help. Leave you along to browse. Immediate help with any questions. Suggestions based on beers you've brought up to the counter. Jolly and seemingly delighted that you've shared their afternoon. Carry the stuff out to your car. Thanks, great to go to a place where the customer seems to be an important part of the business model!

This is probably my favorite place in town. As soon as you walk in the door you're in the Belgian section. What's not to like about that :) They seem to have a great selection. Pretty much anything that's available in west michigan can be found there (if you're quick enough).

The staff is awesome. I recently went in to buy some "birthday beers." They were out of on in particular that I was looking for and the man behind the counter (Rishi - he's super cool) quickly jumped out front to suggest some alternatives.

Great shop, if you're in the area you have to check them out.

I spent 6 days in GR went to many bottle shops and was super happy when i found this one.

When i walked in the door there were 3 employs working who instantly greeted me with a "Hello how are you doing today sir"
then they gave me about 30 seconds to stand there in awe at there selection....Then the man from behind the counter who must of been the owner came out shock my hand introduced himself (i think and i might be wrong with the spelling and the name that it was Rasha) and asked me if this is my "first time in the store?" Then he took me through the store explaining how it was laid out.
Then he left me to look around.
As i wandered looking at Old stock ale, Blushing monk, Stone imperial stout, Devil dancer, Old stock reserve, Ect. The man came back out took bottles out of my full hands (taking them up to the counter for me) and made other great suggestions. Now thats customer service.

They have a HUGE selection of brews. Ended up finding and buying lots of great stuff.

What a great store if i lived in the area i would be a regular for sure.
If you are anywhere near this store make sure that you stop by I cant imagine coming out of there disappointed.

Part of a 6 day tour through Michigan visiting local breweries. This store looks average and ordinary from the outside. Walked in and was taken away by all the inventory this place packs in. Great selection of Michigan beers and crafts. Did not find a Rogue that I was looking for but the guy behind the counter recommended a harvest ale that was excellent. I was allowed to take and mix any beers out of their 6 packs…neat! The beers were organized by geography and judging from the traffic I would assume were regularly rotated.

Recommend this place very much! Cheers!

I visited this establishment while visiting my niece over the fourth of July weekend. The store, located in a strip-mall, is small but every inch of the establishment is utilized well. As someone has already pointed out, you are greeted by single bottles of imports as soon as you enter. The craft/micro selection is in the back of the store and is a bit haphazard and overwhelming. The cooler section is packed and includes about four doors of offerings. The warm selections are on shelfs and large carts and not in any order. However, it is enjoyable to take some time and discover what is available: all of the standard Michigan offerings as well as Anchor brewing and Bear Republic. I was surprised to see Victory brewing company and Stoudts represented. I also have to echo an earlier reviewer's caveat, there are some selections that are clearly past their prime. While I was there no employee asked me if I needed help and I did not go out of my way to seek assistance. The only other place I visted was the Meijer store down the road, and it was also very impressive.

One of the few stores we stopped in during our trip to GR.

Pretty much looks and feels like any other liquor store. However the service and beer selection tell me otherwise. Now Michigan doesn't get that much different stuff than Milwaukee so I wasn't floored but the selection was very nice. Tons of Short's stuff which was awesome. The fact that you can break any sixer in the place was completely foreign to me. I had never seen anything like it. I made several mixed sixers for myself and grabbed a few bombers too.

The guys working there are super friendly and knowledgeable about beer. They knew sweem so they were probably a bit more friendly to us but they seemed genuine. I would have no problem going back here next time I'm in town.

Was in Grand Rapids over the past weekend and had read good reviews of this place. Seeing it was quite close to my hotel, it was no problem stopping in.

What an amazing store for beer. A great collection of all kinds of Michigan brewers. Especially loved the Dark Horse and Short's collections. Like others have said, being able to break up the six packs into singles is great and gives you the chance to try before you commit to the whole six pack.

Store is laid out very well, with all brews from each brewer right beside each other. Very clean and well laid out.

To me, what really makes the store is Rishi, the owner. Boy he knows his stuff and is super friendly. He has a vast knowledge of the products and is more than willing to go out of his way to help you find what you want or even something that you need to have that you didn't know about.

Definitely worth checking out and I'll return when I'm back in the area.

Stopped by on my way through for the KBS release party at Founders.

Very impressed with this place. They had a great selection of Michigan beers as would be expected (Founders, Bells, Short's, etc.) as well as a great selection from across the US. All 6 packs could be broken up and purchased as individual bottles, which allowed me to grab a great selection of Short's beer, which they had a lot of.

The service here is what really makes it stand out. I wish I had gotten the guy's name that was behind the counter. He was extremely helpful with beer suggestions and VERY FRIENDLY. It seemed like he had personally tried every single beer he was selling! I will definitely return here some day.

Prices were average.

Q- This place packs a lot of beer in a small space. They had every macro and a great amount of craft beers as well.

S-Guy at the counter gave me recommendations with very beer I picked out (ageing, drink now) as well as the tasting notes to go with it. Everything seemed stocked to the brim

S-Best selection of Short's I found in Michigan. They had alot of the other MI brewers as well. Tons of Bells and Foudners, Arcadia, etc. Highly recommend this place.

V-Very reasonable and This would be my go-to if I leaved nearby

Nice surprise! Stopped by this place on a recommendation and I'm glad I did. Very well stocked store, almost too well because the isles are very tight to navigate through. The selection is fantastic; the beers are well organized. I completely missed the Belgium section but caught it on my way out, glad I did! They do singles of everything in the store, one of the best Michigan beer selections I have seen. I walked out with a case of wine and a couple cases of mix and match beers. The service is wonderful, the selection is great...highly recommend it!

My only gripe although it may be perceived is that I think prices here were slightly higher than other places (hence not a pefect score). Otherwise service was first class all the way, perhaps the best ever in that regard and they had very good selection... maybe only missing a couple I found in other places. If I can recall, they allowed singles, but by that time I really wanted some Shorts (although I did pick up some singles from smaller breweries as well). If you need something and don't want to look around, this is a great place. Did I mention the exceptional customer service there? Seriously, the people who work there you would like to sit and have a beer with. Probably will be back again if in the area.
