16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/2/2017. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts the whole glass. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, light honey, lightly toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, light honey, lightly toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, light honey, lightly toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and slightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is an excellent IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Really great juicy and lightly dank hop complexity, with a nice bready malt backbone. Tastes like Citra and Amarillo. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours into an impy nonic a dull slight orange infused light golden with a thinner but well sustained bone white head atop.Aromas are pretty dank with pine resin and citrus,I do get a bit of grass and sweet onion as well I as take more in.Alot of sharpness on the palate from grapefruit rind, raw onion, and leafiness, tropical fruits come in late in the finish. It starts to get a little sweet after awhile but this is more than 'juicy' it has some nice hop complexity.

I've moved from Vancouver to Ottawa and I've been trying many of the beers that are available in the Beer Store, LCBO, supermarkets and some bars and breweries in the city. I recognize that the craft beer scene in Ottawa is not as mature as the one I've just left but I have to say that the beers on offer in Ottawa are, on average, good but not great. Most beers are from Ontario. I'm not sure if that's the law or just the way it is but it's disappointing. Few beers from anywhere else unless you like Bud or a few well known beers from Europe.

But, this beer is one of the best I've tasted and would be considered well in BC. It's fruity, bitter and full of body. It looks and smells great and is, so far, a firm favourite right now. Also the name is cool.

473ml can - correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Flying Monkeys one of the Ontario breweries that pulled out of Alberta a while back due to the 'unfavourable' tax changes here?

This beer pours a clear, bright medium golden yellow colour, with four fingers of puffy, rocky, and somewhat bubbly off-white head, which leaves some decent stringy and sudsy cloud form lace around the glass as it slowly evaporates.

It smells of dank pine resin, some orange, lemon, and white grapefruit citrus rind, bready and grainy pale malt, faint tropical fruity notes, and more leafy, weedy, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and bready cereal malt, sharp domestic citrus peel, a hard water flintiness, still difficult to parse exotic fruity esters, and more leafy, herbal, and floral verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is quite active in its frolicking frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and generally smooth, with perhaps a minor hop acridity marring the surface sheen here. It finishes trending dry, the hops pressing their lingering case.

Overall - this is certainly a 'juicy' version of the style, but there's more going on in this offering than just that. The concurrent forest floor detritus character does well to keep things from running into fruit milkshake territory, and thus renders this as rather flavourful and drinkable.

16oz. can into Night Shift stemware.

Nice looking beer. Good head, great clarity and color. Nose is citrus, grapefruit, pine and grass. Fresh and crisp. Beer opens ruby red grapefruit, fresh cut grass and pine. A nice, biting bitterness up front with a mellow malt backbone. Good balance with a dry, resiny hop finish. Very solid. Body is light with a touch too much carbonation. Prickly on the palate and goes down foamy. Lingering, sticky aftertaste.

It's nice to have a traditional hoppy IPA once in a while and this fits the bill perfectly. A refreshing hop bitterness with a touch of malt roundedness in the back for balance.

Very nice IPS with great citrus taste and aroma. Comes in a 16 oz. can so could not see the color. I had one and had to get another. Citrusy and hoppy. Not much better than that. Good Job Monkeys.

Thick white head that dissipates quickly. The beer is a hazy golden colour.

Smell is predominately grapefruit with some slight pine. The taste is the same.

The beer is medium bodied and the finish is tart and kind of wet.

This a really nice product. Great smell and great taste.

Poured from a 16 oz.can.Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of passion fruit, citrus. Taste is dank, resin, some citrus, moderate bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a good beer, but not as juicy as I was expecting, it's no NEIPA.
