My wife and I took a weekend/anniversary visit to wine country in this part of NY, so naturally we figured we'd stop at atleast one brewpub and/or brewery along the way. This place was only about 10-15 minutes away from the Inn we stayed at. We went on a Sunday afternoon and figured we'd watch some playoff football while we were there. Unfortunately the Patriots got destroyed by the Ravens, that was a downfall of the afternoon, but really had little to do with the rest of our experience here. The atmosphere was nice. It looked as if it were an old style pub or tavern, very dim lights, the windows provided a good chunk of the lights. We had a seat at the bar, it was pretty nice, the bar tender was attentive and nice. The only tough part was the entrance was so close to the bar and it was close to freezing outside so sitting at the bar or around the bar you'd get a nasty breeze coming in. The service was very good, the bartender was very nice and helpful, she even gave us some free molasses bread which was nice. The selection was good. They mainly had their own beers on a tap list and a tap of miller light. They had everything except a stout I think. I got a Nut Brown ale and the Coco Porter and enjoyed them both a lot. They also had bottled selections (atleast I think so). They had a shelf up top that had Rouge dead guy, Brooklyn Lager, Anchor Porter, Omegang Hennepin and a few more that I can't seem to remember I think there were about 10-12 bottles in total. I'm not sure if they were available or just for decoration, I didn't think to ask. The food was decent and reasonably priced We got an order of wings, burger, Buffalo chicken sandwich, each upgraded to fries and sweet potato fries, and 3 beers. Including tip we spent $56, which I thought was pretty good. I'd certainly come back again if I were in the area. The only thing different is that I wouldn't sit by the bar on a cold day, other than that everything was great.

Nice location in the heart of Watkins Glen. Hang out inside or in the open air entry ways that look out at tourist, classic autos and motorcycles cruising through town.

Quaint interior with a down to earth, pub ambiance. Staff and service are OK, but vary widely. They won't fill a half growler?! Beers are really good overall and they've got a good selection to choose from (10-12, I think). The food sounds better than it tastes, but to be fair it sounds really awesome. Pub food with personality and a focus on fresh, local ingredients. Beer menu is well made and they have a handy tasting sheet so you can easily tell them what you want and always know which is which. Nice place, overall.

Stopped in for dinner while on a Finger Lakes brewery tour. An outstanding selection of beers. There was inside and outside seating. very cool garage doors to the outside. Food was awesome. If you like BBQ stop in. Lots of beer selections, something for all tastes. They had a band starting just as dinner finished, wished we could have stayed longer.

Stopped in here for lunch on my birthday trip to Ithaca.

The beer selection was alright. Nothing crazy on tap, but all of their usual suspects. Rooster Fish beer runs from average to bland to me most of the time. Drinkable, but I wouldn't seek it out. Hop Warrior and Cocoa Porter were the best I tried.

The food was better. They claimed to use all local ingredients, and it made for a very tasty experience. Salad and burger was great.

The service was satisfactory. Refilled sodas and waters at a good pace. The atmosphere was alright as well, the place was a little too dark at times.
