330mL slender green bottle proudly stating its "Original Quality" (what does that mean?) and its years of brewing heritage - since 1997. Wow, almost a quarter of a generation.
Pours nicely with lots of head retention and different layers of lacing. Jaundiced pale yellow colour, average carbonation.
Aromas of grassy, slightly skunky hops (perhaps due to the green bottle and its long trip here) and not much else. Mildly inoffensive.
Taste is slightly below average - age doesn't really show... a little bit of adjuncty sourness on sides of tongue, very watery, unimpressive but not undrinkable.
Mouthfeel is appallingly thin and entirely lacking in body. Drinkability on the other hand would be higher for a very hot day when you feel like a very cold beer, but not very good on a cold winter's night (or any other scenario for that matter).
Notes: Who in their right mind would classify this a Munich Helles Lager? It's not Bavarian, in fact it doesn't have anything in common with any German lager, it's very thin and would be much better classified as a generic Euro Pale Lager. I reviewed it as such. If this were a pale Munich lager just about every other beer in its class would be superior to it. Overall this beer is not too bad, but it's entirely meaningless - just fizzy yellow water really.

Appearance: 12-ounce green bottle with a simple label poured into a pint glass. Bright golden color clear enough to read the newspaper through. Bubbling up from the base of the glass. Light pillowy bright white foam on top but it dissipated within a minute or two.
Aroma: Very light. Almost indescribable odors.
Taste: Tame. Light grains and accompanying sweetness.
Feel: Soft, thick, and low carbonation.
Overall: Refreshing, to be sure, but not at all complex. This would be a great way for someone who is used to American light lager to experience a Greek beer.
Pairing: It paired decent with the classic Greek moussaka dish but some higher carbonation would have made it even better. The lack of flavor in the beer was certainly felt in comparison to the vibrancy of the entrée.

330 ml bottle poured into a glass at Pita Gr greek restaurant in Valladolid (Spain).
Look: Clear pale gold yellow colour, thin white head with laces.
Smell: clean smell and some skunky note.
Taste: Clean, bready/slightly sweet middle, with some noble hop bite at the end.
Mouthfeel: medium carbonation, good.
Overall / Drinkability: regular Euro pale lager. Easily drinkable.

11.2oz bottle, best by March 2024. Served in a shaker pint glass.
Appearance: Clear pale gold, thin white head with fine sheets of lacing.
Smell: Mostly clean, with a bit of sulfur/skunky note.
Taste: Clean, bready/slightly sweet middle, with some noble hop bite at the finish.
Mouthfeel: Ok thickness, a bit fizzy, but not badly so.
Overall / Drinkability: About what you would expect from a Euro pale lager. No frills, has that skunky note, but is easily drinkable. It did pair well with my pasticio and Greek salad.

Enjoyed at a local Greek restaurant in Ft Myers, FL. Green bottle poured in glass. Very flavorful with just enough carbonation.

Bottle pour into a tulip glass.
Clear pale golden appearance with a modest foamy head that recedes quickly to a surface film and collar. Grain, scallion, celery, pepper, herb, anise notes. Light body, light carbonation, soft lively mouthfeel.

Poured from a 330ml bottle.
Pours Dark yellow with a tiny and fleeting head , smelling of grass with a touch of skunk . The taste is light, grassy and mildly sweet with a slight bitterness. Mouthfeel is okay , neither good nor bad . Overall, average but on a hot day would do to cool you down . Average.
