From Lidl, doesn't say Perlenbacher on the can anywhere, but I assume it's the same...

A bit darker than the usual Perlenbacher. Contains hop extract as opposed to the more expensive actual hops. Not detecting much in the way of an aroma...

Very tasteless malt, with faint hop extract. Not great, which is kind of what I was expecting. The usual Perlenbacher is probably slightly better, and has a bit more of a dry hoppy taste. This one has a moderate sweetness that at least gives it some taste...super simple mouth feel.

Cerveza con un pequeño cordón espumoso de poca retención. Cuerpo ligero y carbonatación media. Aroma a malta y cereales. Sabor ligeramente con un retrogusto débil.
Lata de 500ml por 1 euro. Económica.

Appearance is untypical of festbiers I've tried, odd shade of brown, a bit like Hacker Schorr but not as clear. Aroma of not sure what, some brown sugar, grains. Taste is quite strong alcohol, sugar and grainy malts and a short lived bitterness. Quite moreish but not especially nice. It's good for what you pay for it. It's quite rough but fairly drinkable. For the price it's always worth picking up wen Lidl have it.

A darker festbier , this one is probably one of the better Lidl cheap beer offerings. It's still only ok and is second tier to the more well known German festbiers from the larger breweries . A nice change at least from most of the German offerings in British supermarkets

A bit too sweet for me. A bit too carbonated. A bit too mediocre. A bit too German. Enough not to want to drink it again...

From Lidl. In Paulaner glass. Watching Vikings 2x02. Very far from the Spaten or Paulaner festbiers that has come around here this October. More disgusting taste

Half litre can, poured into pint shaker.

A: Dark amber, clear, medium sized off white head, not too much lacing.

S: Had a nice flowery Saaz aroma.

T: Burnt toffee, caramel and roasted malt.

M: Slightly sticky texture and heavy body, minimal carbonation.

O: Good for the price, better than anything else in LIDL.
