The folks at Keystone's original location (which I've heard they're now referring to as "Keystone South"), are damn fine folks, and the fact that those same people are involved here should be enough to make the new joint ("Keystone North," I guess?) do gangbusters business-wise.

The new store is much smaller than the old one (or at least it seems that way), and you can tell it hasn't been broken in yet, in a matter of speaking.

They carry the same brands as the old store, with slightly less selection -- this is probably just a product of the smaller floorspace. That, or they're just easing in here, and should the location get rockin', they'll up the ante. By the way, I think Bethlehem is a great place to have a LHBS -- lots of college kids, a booming downtown, and right next to the BBW.

My major worry here is the fact that they're in an indoor shopping center. Everything's just a little too antiseptic -- I just couldn't see myself hanging out here and having a few beers, the way I've been known to do at Keystone South. And perhaps, that is its biggest weakness, the lack of character and identity that the other store has in spades. I hope, in time, this will follow, but like I said, with the whole shopping center element, it'll have a harder time than its predecessor.

For now, though, I'll stick to the crowded shelves and dusty grain room at the South location -- well, for the character, and the fact that they're much, much closer to me.

Still, as I said, it's the people here and the fantastic service that make people go back time and time again to the old store, and I'm sure the same will apply here. If you're in the area, make this your LHBS. You won't be sorry.

The absolute go to store for homebrew supplies in the Lehigh Valley, without sounding like a commercial, I buy all my brewing supplies from here. Off street parking, very helpful staff, and a well stocked selection of hops, grain, publications, and DME.

As a novice brewer, these guys are a god send. Everyone is very eager to help you or to answer any question that you may have (No matter how stupid you make think it is). I love having this place so close to home and having people so willing to help me out.

I had heard great things about this place from all types of people over the last few years. I recently start homebrewing with a friend and we needed to pick up out next batch of ingredients. We wanted to do something a little simple so I grabbed a Summer Ale clone. The lady there was very knowledgable and helpful. I had asked a few questions and she was able to answer them with second guessing. The store was clean looking the aisles were a little tight but then again I'm a pretty big guy so maybe it's just me. From what I could tell was that the selection was very good, lots of ingredients and equipment to choose from. Parking is an issue in that area unfortunately. Sometimes you can get lucky and find a spot close by other times its not so easy. I'm definitely glad I stopped in there though. I'll be sure to go back when I need more supplies.

Located on the busy streets of Bethlehem, PA right below Fegleys/Bethlehem Brewworks. Horrible parking situation on the weekend, try to get there during the week or you may park a fair distance away.
Great selection of grains, fresh hop pellets and whole cone, and liquid yeasts from Wyeast. They also have wine making supplies and some brewerania merchandise like t-shirts, glasswear and beer signs. The Staff is amazing in person and on the phone, I have called many times for advice, special orders and advance pick-up orders which is a big plus for a person with a busy schedule. Call ahead if you want something really special because the selection isn't over the top amazing, but I am sure they can order almost anything you want.

Down stairs in the commons, across the hall from the steel garden, this place is a hole in the wall that screams class and affordability all at once. On staff is always a knowledgeable and approachable person willing to impart any advice or direction you may need. I wouldnt have learned half of what I know without the constant advice from these guys. They even provide business cards for off hour consultations. they offer a wide variety of non-brewing items as well, including mushroom growing kits, olive plants, swag and glasswear. A truly impressive hub for all of your brewing needs, from all grain to winemaking. Its a little bit cluttered but that just adds to the shtick. Pricing is great and service is equally app laudable.

Located in the same building as Bethlehem Brew Works. Check 'em out if you've got some time to spare while waiting for your table. Well, you will find just about everything from complete extract kits to yeasts, pellet hops, a large variety of malt, literature, various bottles as well as caps and capping tools, assorted brewerania such as neons, mirrors, signs, coasters, glassware, etc. Service is great; friendly, courteous, very helpful, and full of recommendations. I was asked numerous times if I needed help. prices were reasonable. You can leave here with the makings for a nice batch of brew on the cheap. By all means, stop by if you are in the area.

It's always great to have your homebrew shop within walking distance from your house and work, but its great when you get one of this caliber.

From the first time I walked into this store 4 years ago until today I am always greated by a friendly face. Am always helped find what I need when I can't manage on my own.

If they don't have what I need they are always willing to order it normally stocking it within the week.
I have never found anything I've purchased to be old or stale (without it being clearly labled as out of date).

Always full of good advice and normally a beer behind the counter to have while you shop.
If you homebrew in the Lehigh Valley, this is your shop!

My friends and I started homebrewing early this year and lucked out since Keystone is a couple blocks away from us. Top notch service from everyone in the place. These guys really know the in's and out's of beer and brewing, and can advise you as little or as much as you need.

They also have plenty of equipment for any level of homebrewer and beer collectables too. Selection is always good and I can only remember one time they didn't have something we needed. Their prices are reasonable and my friends and I highly recommend it to homebrewers at any experience level.

Keystone Homebrew simply rocks. They have or will get anything you want. The store is small but full of everything a homebrewer, wine or mead maker, needs.

The unique selection of beer kits includes the 2007 GABF pro-am gold medal winner, a terrific oatmeal stout, and a balnce red ale to a couple of clone brews.Books, glasses, bottles, hops, malts, grain mills, wine kits, yeasts, fermenters, breweriania, and anything else you might possibly need.

The best thing about the store is the staff. So helpful and friendly! Will help you load things onto your car too, like bottles. Super nice people, great service.

My only regret is that it isn't closer to my house.

On Saturdays trip to Easton with my wife for The Weyerbacher open house, We stopped in dowtown Bethleham for my wife to do some shopping. I was surprised to find this store and fifured it was worth a stop. The store is extremely clean and nicely arranged. All of the stock leooked clean and fresh. The selection was very nice and the prices were reasonable. I have not done any home brewing in a while, but this would be a nice place to go to get supplies. It will be worth a stop the next time I am in the area.

Ever since ordering my Sam Adams brew kit in 2006, I have been coming to this store for everything I need. As a beginner, walking into a specialty store like this is often very intimidating. The staff at the store have been a great help in giving me tips, and tricks, and the stores employee beer kits are great ways to learn how to brew any type of beer imaginable.

Ingredients are always quality and fresh, with no shortage of awesome beer merchandise just for kicks.

I highly recommend this Homebrew Supply Store!

This place is my local homebrew store, nestled downstairs in the commons with a bunch of other shops (ice cream parlor, bethlehem brew works, pizza shop, all great). The selection is good and so are the prices, but the service is excellent. One of the women who works there, Judy, gave me an excellent recipe for a DIPA that turned out great, despite my numerous attempts to blow it.

It seems as though there is a slightly smaller selection than the other location (in montgomeryville), but they have pretty much everything that i could ever want.

The service is excellent. Knowledgeable staff to help with all your brewing needs. Can sign up for monthly newsletters from Keystone that inform you of all the Beer/Wine events in the region. Price of brewing equipment and supplies usually reasonable but some can get a little on the pricey side. But not too much by any means if you need something in a pinch. Great selection of Wyest products, they usually have all the varieties in stock. Plethora of specialty grain they will crack for you. They always have a brewed in store or locally brewed product on tap that you can sample while walking the aisles - niceeee.

This is the new branch of the KHSS in Bethlehem. Located within the indoor "mini mall" the commons and just next door to steelgaarden and the bethlehem brew works. This store has very nice workers and clientele. So service is usually an A+. The quality also seems great and fresh, but I wonder if this store will really make it? I hope that they up their selection to get it on par with the first location, and I also hope that the location inside this mini-mall does not kill them...I hope they do good business and have very fast turnover like in Montgomeryville. It seems they are heading in the right directions...let's help them get there!

Lucky, lucky me... What a treat to FINALLY have a homebrew shop within earshot of my office... When I made it down to Keystone Homebrew Supply's new location, which is in the same building as the Bethlehem Brew Works and Steelgarden, I was amazed by just how much stuff they could get into a store that size. Granted, I am quite the newbie when it comes to all things homebrew, but the entire staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Judy, who drew the short straw in having to help this bum right here, answered all of my paranoia-based questions about getting started with homebrewing. She made things easy to understand, and pointed out all of the hardware and software options available, including their $49.95 homebrew hardware kit... I am so very thankful, and I can see this as the beginning of a beautiful relationship...
