Coming in a 500ml can, BB 15/10/13, served chilled in a straight imperial pint glass. Note: this can is at 5.0%abv.

Appearance: pours a clear, light golden colour with abundant and lively carbonation, topped with a white creamy head to last.
Smell: fruit acidity as of limes, green apples and sour dough abounds along with a mild dusty touch, against a moderate malty backbone that comes not so thick or cloying. A closer sniff reveals German hop aroma, but ever so gentle. Not bad.
Taste: mildly grainy and gristy comes the malty entry, not very sweet, ensued by lightly bitter, grassy undertones of hops, leading towards a semi-sweet fruity and sweet herbal finish with very little bitterness but a clean palate to enjoy. A few sips down the line, there develops a faintly chewy touch at the end of each sip.
Mouthfeel & Overall: the carbonation remains quite lively and not smooth, the body is medium-plus and not heavy, while the palate is clean enough except for the lightly tongue-coating quality due to the residual sugar in the liquid, I believe. All in all, not a very bad beer and adjunct, if any is used, is not apparent in the flavour. O.K. to try it once.

A light straw colored clear beer, rather big head, good lacing.

The smell is mostly acid, but some corn flakes and metal is felt as well.

A light sweetness, white bread, lemonish, some slight bitteness

Medium carbomation, a simple but refreshing body

Rather Ok for being a standard euro lager. Clean and fresh.

A: Strawcolour with lots of bubbles in the beverage. The white head is thick and creamy, but it dissipates rather fast leaving some lacings.

S: Sweet malt, with some bitter hops and some citric notes. There is a faint smell of corn as well.

T: Light roasted sweet malt, some citric and bitter notes. And here the corn is present as well.

M: Medium body with plenty of carbonation. The aftertaste is pretty short but holds some bitter notes and some faint sweetness.

D: This is a typical swedish pale lager, when is't beeing produced by any of the larger breweries. Not very interesting.

Had this in a bar in Stockholm last week. Served with a small, white head with lots of lace. Color was a very clear, bright, rich, polished brass. Aroma was a little malt and a little fresh hop. Flavor was about the same and well balanced; almost the stereotype of "BEER". Nice body. Super clean & balanced finish. Session beer.

Pours a one finger white head that fades quickly to a ring leaving some lace. Clear amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Hoppy nose. Flavor is mildly hoppy with malts trying to balance. Lingering bitter aftertaste. 45 SEK ~ $7.56 for ½ liter glass Barcelona Tapas Restaurant Stockholm. From my notes - 7/8/2008.

The colour is straw yellow; the low head is white. Some fine lacing occurs.

The smell is sweet. Notes of white bread, anonymous malt and adjuncts (odd since this is an all-malt lager).

The taste is quite heavy (in a negative way) and sweet with notes of cookies and shortbread. The aftertaste is sweet and mild with notes of sweet dough, some vanilla, and a mild bitter flavour. The finish is a bit frowsy.

The carbonation is medium strong. The liquid is a little sweet-sticky.

Pripps Blå was once the most sold beer in Sweden. Nowadays, it seems to be mostly about nostalgia and habits.
