Notes:
This is a collaborative beer made by Carlsberg Falkenberg and Brooklyn Brewery. It was top-fermented and then aged for three months in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels by Carlsberg and the Brooklyn brewing team, who flew to Sweden to do the barreling, together with members of the Swedish Porter Drinkers Association.

Cellared since release date. Live review.Keeping it short I'd say it has aged beuatifully. Smell and taste gives lots of sweetness, oak and dried fruit. Allthough it is more like a bock or a belgian double than a porter.

Pour is dark brown with a tight tan head. A hint of bourbon but extremely faint, light note of milk chocolate, a touch oxidized, and a good bit of malt berry sweetness. Taste pretty much follows the nose. Faint note of bourbon and some slightly rich malt, oxidation mid palate and a good bit of malty sweetness but not really sugary. Silky smooth body, moderate carbonation. Fairly bright flavors, slightly oxidized, not bad now, probably a bit past it's prime and could have been a really nice beer before.

Bottle from Baggio. Thanks, Rob.
Appearance: Clear ruddy brown pour, nearly opaque in the glass with ruby highlights. The two finger head retains well and leaves behind some lacing.
Smell: Plenty of bourbon barrel that's mellow and nicely integrated, with licorice and roasted malt from the base porter. Caramel, a little bittersweet chocolate. Smells quite good.
Taste and mouthfeel: Mellow bourbon, black licorice, oak, roasted malt. Little bit of dark chocolate and caramel. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Oaky finish with mild roastiness. Pretty nice stuff, light and drinkable with good barrel character.

A: Dark brown, with hues of red pour. The large tan compact head sinks slowly into decent lacings after quite some time.
S: Lots of vanilla, almost like artificial detergent. Very sweet. Bourbon - oak. Some coffee.
T: Very rich sweet vanilla/oak. Some dry cherries in the back. Not very much else going on.
M: Medium long aftertaste, sweet. Body is full, while carbonation is moderate. Lots of alcohol.
O: Too much vanilla and too little of everything else. Rather pricy, considering the quality.

A: Dark, clear liquid with red hue. Large, compact and slightly brown head. Nice lacings. The foam doesn't sink too quickly.
S: The smell isn't that powerful. Sweet malt, some oak tones, bread. Small hints of beef broth. A little grassy with herbal notes, especially a quite strange smell of tarragon.
T: Creamy, sweet and malty. Milk chocolate. The bitterness is small and clean. Roasted malt, luxurious cocoa and coffee. Alcohol isn't noticeable. Some notes of oak and drambuie. Overall quite powerful.
M: Small bubbles, medium carbonation. No alcohol. Smooth.
O: Well, it's obviously good, but I'm lucky I've got another bottle to store. It could get better.

The brew is dark brown, almost black with ruby nuances, a tan small head with little lacing but good curtains.
Smelling of sweet vanilla sugar, some almond and bourbon nuances, a good measure of oak cask.
The taste has the sweet vanilla, some butter notes and a raw oak bitterness, slightly alcoholic.
Little carbonation, soft but slightly watery.
Feels rather young, save it to at least the 180th anniversary.
