A: Pours an opaque, dark brown, with an espresso foam colored head that settles to a thin layer atop the beer. No a doubt a thick beer just by watching is pour from the bottle. A hint of lace and no visible carbonation. Lack of light passing through and dark brown head are promising.

S: Faint nose with a sweet malt profile including milk chocolate, coffee, hints of vanilla and earthy some nut. Slightly off putting banana note. Subdued but all the elements expected in a stout are three.

T: Sweet malt notes of caramel. A bit of the Belgian banana/clove thing going on which I am not a huge fan of. Roasted malt comes through on the finish and is a touch dry, nutty and bitter.

M: Super smooth, round mouthfeel

D: Feels like a stout for sure. Some flavors and smells of which I am not a huge fan, but needless to say a decent stout. I continue to try new beers from these guys every time I come to Sweden. Their Amarillo Pale Ale and Thurbo IPA continue to be best for me so far, but I'd prefer drinking this Stout over the widely available non-descript Euro lager.

Many thanks to Emil for the bottle!

Pours an oily, black color, with a small, stable, brown head.

Smells of roasted coffee, slightly bitter, grassy hops, toffee and bakers chocolate. Hints of syrup and honey lead to a sweeter nose, with lots of hops and cold pressed coffee beans underneath.

Has a fitting lower carbonation, and a medium body.

Tastes of earthy coffee and slightly smoked malts, together with molasses, chocolate and honey. Hops add a gentle bitterness with tobacco and scorched malts, leading to a slightly bitter overall taste. Cream is big in this though, highlighting the sweetened chocolate. Finish is all about creamy coffee, syrup, honey and burned malts, accompanied by a pleasant bitterness.

Wow, incredibly versatile beer, artfully put together. All flavors are recognizable in a pleasant, well balanced way, with coffee finding a worthy counterpart in earth and honey.

A nice dark colored basic stout with light brown head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and roasted tones. Medium mouthfeel with light carbonation. Taste brings out coffee and chocolate. All in all decent stout.
