A: Pour is slightly hazy copper with a rather tall white, compact head, that leaves nice lacings.

S: Caramell malt, bready and sweet. Rich bitter hops but also floral. Nettles, hay, citric and piney.

T: Bready caramell malt, only a little sweetness. Rich hoppy character; pineapple, grapefruit, ripe oranges and some lemon sezt.

M: Aftertaste is nice and bitter, body is quite chewy and medium-full. Carbonation is rich but still rather modest.

O: A well balanced and well crafted AIPA.

Shared bottle at local tasting. Deep orange to reddish amber colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of slightly unfresh orange marmalade. Medium sweet flavour, notes of piney hops, again unfresh orange marmalade. Drinkable, but not Oppigård’s best.

Review: 33cl bottle of Oppigårds Indian Tribute: 6.6% vol.

Bought in Aldi Switzerland. Interesting logo on the long necked bottle, orange background and label with a pic of an elephant, simple but stylish, their "tribute to India"

On pour got a dark amber coloured beer with a decent sized white head that maintained well. Good amount of carbonation and some lacing apparent. A nice looking beer, looks alive and ready to be devoured! Loved the colour.

The smell is quite strong, a very lovely aroma smacking the senses full blast. Typical IPA aroma but the hops are so strong in this one, absolutely gorgeous, love it.
Intense earthy hops, citrus and tropical fruits on the nose, malts alive too, all perfectly balanced.
Leaves a good impression, the smell, one of the best aromas off a beer in a long time. Truly powerful stuff on the nose, and all good.

Typical IPA taste and flavour in the taste, the fruits and malts, and the hops are prominent but all nice and very manageable. A very tasty beer, crisp, sweet and all well balanced, and smooth enough for an IPA. The hops in particular are quite tasty.

A very nice beer to relax with and sit back and sip. Well balanced. Very good. Not the widest array of intense flavours and unique tastes, just the lingering Cascade hops really, but its good enough to enjoy. Low in bitterness but high in enjoyment!

Like it, solid and very enjoyable and will be returning........

L - 2-finger dense yellowish head atop a translucent orange body.

S - citrus, pine, a little herb.

T - traditional ipa flavors. Citrus, pine, caramel malt. Low bitterness. Moderate sweetness. Low booziness.

F - medium body and carb.

O - enjoyable, and a flashback to the earlier style of ipas.

Recently Oppigards' beers have been popping up here and there, mostly in Lidl and recently in Aldi/Hofer where I bought this Indian Tribute IPA.
Looks very proper, golden amber that suggests rich content. Smells also quite dense, intensely hopped and you already feel the bitter hops in the nose - that follows in the taste. It is actually quite well balanced with semi-sweet malts and as it is most of the time, it is topped with flavory but bitter hops.
I give it an overall 4.25 because it doesn't stun me with any uniqueness (had very similar IPAs in Hungary) but then again its quality feels worth mentioning. Good as an IPA can be, but it doesn't get much beyond that.

Pours amber with a 2 cm white head. A lot of lacing on the glass.

Fantastic smell of american hops, grape, apricot and peach. A little bit of caramel in the background. An "oily" smell.
I have a little problem to start tasting the beer - The smell is so good!
A great bitter taste of grape, grass, hops, pine - GREAT!

Amber color with off-white head. Some resiny, earthy hops on the aroma along with some caramel malt. Taste is typical west coast style. Some malts at first and then the resiny, earthy hops kick in with a good amount of bitterness. Body is medium, smooth and has a good amount of carbonation. Really well done, classic IPA.
