This place is trashy. Broken coolers, bottles covered in dust, bums hanging around outside trying to get money, college students just hanging around in the door ways. The bottle deposit area is always filled and gross. It smells bad. Bought some beer here that was 4 months expired. Their selection is pretty good considering the location, but its a pure dump.

I found a bottle of Don de Dieu in there that was 3 years old, and considering they don't run air conditioning, I can imagine it has been aging at temps above 85 degrees.

Place been recently renovated outside and inside is being worked on. Brand new, bigger cooler doors allow more space for beers. The micro beer selection is ever expanding and special orders alway welcome...At least two doors are dedicated to Michigan Beers with many more dedicated to Micros...

I stopped here last year when I was up for the beer fest. I stopped in again this year.

Its right up from the park where the beer fest is held. Walking here would be easy from the park.

Its pretty sketchy. Just your average liquor store from the outside. Inside isnt much better. Its dirty, dusty and all around crappy. Beer is on two smallish shelves and two walls of coolers. Selection is pretty good but things have been collecting dust for a while. Turn over is obviously poor here. This could be ok for certain beers but there are many things that I would be weary of buying.

With some of the other stores we went to around Ann Arbor, this one would be ok to skip.

As an Eastern Michigan student, I'm pretty familiar with this store. From the outside, you wouldn't expect the place to have a decent selection of imports and micro-brews. They have a nice selection of Germans, English and Belgians, as well as some decent Great Lakes area brews. A lot of the prices are very reasonable, but occasionally some of the imports or micros can be a little pricey. The staff of the store are pretty friendly as well. Occasionally there will be a stray bum that will wander into the store who will try to get your change, but it doesn't really happen too often. All in all if you're in the Ypsilanti area and looking for some higher quality beers, Eagles Market is the place you want to try.

It's not in the best part of town, and I was a bit skeptical that I was actually in the right place. It looks more like the sort of place you'd go to pick up Colt 45 instead of Chimay, but -- guess what -- they do have a heck of a beer selection. Some Belgiums, lots of Unibroue, and a pretty good selection of Michigan microbreweries. I suppose the questionable location does have it's benefits, though. Beer prices seemed a bit lower than they are at Bello Vino or Whole Foods. It's worth a look if you're in Ypsi.

Yep, this is the best selection in Ypsilanti. Access the parking lot from Ballard st, or park at the small metered lot across the street.

Local brews are well represented (Bell's Khunhenn, Founder's, Jolly Pumpkin, Dragonmeade and many other fine MI brews) as well as some notable imports: Chimay, Westmalle, Old Peculiar...etc. Their selection of American craft brews includes Victory, Ommegang, SN, GLBC, North Coast...and everything is priced within reason, often a buck or two cheaper than other stores in the area.

The staff is passionate about beer, and always willing to help customers with any questions they can answer. TJ, the owner, is receptive to customer requests and will order what you want if he can get it. PLUS if you buy a case you get a fee slice of pizza:).

Its a little store smack in the middle of the EMU student ghetto, but its packed with fine brews, and since TJ bought Liquor is Quicker's Liquor License, some good whiskey on the way as well. If you live or happen to be in the area, stop in, you'll be pleased.
